At the main forum held on December 21, Liu Jie, executive chairman of the Moganshan B&B Association and deputy director of the Moganshan B&B Housekeeper Training Center, said that the "B&B housekeeper" training should give wings to the dreams of more rural youth, so that China's rural homestay industry will no longer lack people, and more rural people can achieve common prosperity.
"B&B host" refers to a person who provides customized services such as accommodation, food and beverages, and local natural, cultural and lifestyle experiences for customers. Last year, "homestay housekeeper" became one of the 18 new professions announced to the public by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. This is declared in the name of the Deqing County People's Government, and it is also the first new occupation in the name of the county-level government in the country.
According to the data of the "Deqing B&B Industry Development Report", the total number of Deqing B&Bs exceeds 850, and the annual income of 260 rental farmhouses is nearly 30 million yuan, with an average annual income of 110,000 yuan per building, and the annual reception of tourists exceeds 7 million people, with a revenue of more than 3 billion yuan.
How popular the B&B is, how big the talent gap of the B&B is. Liu Jie said that the development of B&B must return to the essence of service. To do a good job in homestay services, talent is the key. There is a lack of housekeepers in country houses, and there is a shortage of good housekeepers.
In 2020, Liu Jie participated in the writing of the "B&B Housekeeper Professional Skill Level Evaluation Specification" and opened the Moganshan B&B Housekeeper Training Center, which is the first B&B housekeeper training institution in China with certification standards, school running qualifications, and permanent institutions. After that, Liu Jie participated in the declaration of the new profession of "B&B housekeeper" as an industry representative.
Liu Jie said that when "B&B housekeeper" as a new profession has been recognized by the public, the industry norms have been continuously improved, and the training of Moganshan B&B housekeeper has been widely recognized in China, "The training school is not my end, we hope to unite all over the world to build a cloud platform."
"As of October 12, 2023, we have carried out a total of 391 offline training sessions, training 5,877 rural house practitioners. In the next ten years, we hope to give wings to the dreams of more rural youth, so that there will be no shortage of people in China's rural homestay industry, and more rural people can achieve common prosperity. The 2023 Moganshan B&B Conference is guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Xinhua Daily Telegraph, hosted by the People's Government of Deqing County, and co-organized by Zhejiang Tourism and B&B Industry Federation, Order, Ctrip, Xiaohongshu, Douyin Life Service, and Meituan Hotel.
