The project consists of three series: the Japanese Chinese Translation Literature Series of Modern Western Medicine edited by Li Yongxian, and the Chinese Chinese Translation Literature Series of Modern Western Medicine, which he co-edited with Professor Lin Ying of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Among them, the "Modern Japanese Medical Books and Chinese Translation Literature Series" was included in the series of academic projects of the Sino-Greek Civilization Mutual Learning Center, and was jointly published by Bashu Publishing House and Southwest University Press.
According to Li Yongxian, the compilation and publication project started in 2018 and will be completed by the end of 2023, which lasted five years. The "Compendium of Chinese Translation of Modern Western Medicine" series is compiled in accordance with a certain style, focusing on the translation of Western medical works by Chinese and Japanese scholars and the translation of Japanese medical works by modern Chinese scholars, with a total of more than 200 kinds of related medical literature, compiled into 119 volumes.

In recent years, in order to better promote the traditional culture of Chinese medicine and further strengthen the theoretical and practical research of traditional Chinese medicine in the mainland, relying on the advantages of Sichuan University in the collation and research of ancient books, and in conjunction with Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other domestic traditional Chinese medicine schools and academic research institutions, Professor Li Yongxian is responsible for presiding over the compilation of the "Treasures of Traditional Chinese Medicine" series, which systematically sorts out the ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine in the mainland, and according to the characteristics of the development of traditional Chinese medicine, in accordance with the "combination of warp and weft, and expansion of the two wings". The concept of "Connecting China and the West, Mutual Learning between Civilizations" has been compiled in order to reflect the achievements of mainland Chinese medicine and its external influence over the past thousands of years in an all-round and multi-angle manner, and more than 40 kinds and more than 1,000 volumes have been published one after another.

At the same time, Bashu Publishing House and Southwest University Press jointly published the Silk Road Sino-foreign Medical Exchange Literature Series, a series of academic engineering achievements of the Sino-Greek Civilization Mutual Learning Center, edited by Li Yongxian, which reflects the medical exchanges between China and foreign countries over the past millennium.
