On the morning of December 12, the comprehensive topping out ceremony of the main structure of the new campus construction project of the School of Science and Technology of China Three Gorges University was held in Yichang Point Military Region, Hubei Province. The undergraduate university, invested and built by Hubei Provincial Education Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hubei Education Investment), a subsidiary of the Yangtze River Industrial Investment Group, will start its official enrollment in September next year.
The new campus of the College of Science and Technology of China Three Gorges University covers a total area of about 1,100 acres, with a planned construction area of 630,000 square meters, a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, and can accommodate nearly 18,000 teachers and students, and is expected to be completed in September 2024.
The project is a major breakthrough in Yichang to promote the expansion and quality of higher education, and it is also a strategic measure to deepen the cooperation between local schools and improve the quality of urban functions, which will further improve the quality of higher education in Yichang, optimize the talent structure, and cultivate and deliver high-quality and application-oriented talents for Yichang's economic and social development.
