On December 16, the award ceremony and excellent works exhibition of the "Environment-Friendly and Child-friendly" 2023 Natural Creative Painting Collection Activity was held at the Guangzhou Children's Activity Center. It is reported that the painting collection activity collected more than 40,000 works of children across the country, and a total of 908 works won awards.
With the theme of "Green Life, Blue Future", this solicitation activity guides children to create four-color natural creative works, depicts the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, advocates a low-carbon life of energy conservation and emission reduction, and conveys the concept of green and healthy environmental protection. The event collected works from 42,180 children and teenagers from 66 cities in 24 provinces and municipalities across the country and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, with a total of 735 units and kindergartens and schools.
After the deadline of this solicitation activity, the evaluation experts conducted a professional review and scoring of all the entries, a total of 908 works were awarded, and 60 units were awarded the "Excellent Organization Unit". Award-winning students and representatives of outstanding organizations from Guangzhou were invited to attend the award ceremony.
Chen Xuanyu, an 8-year-old third-year student, won the first prize for his work "Green Hope" in this painting competition. At the award ceremony, he shared: "In my paintings, there is the most popular lion 'Ahang' in Guangzhou Zoo, as well as a giraffe with a long neck, a cute giant panda, a golden monkey with a blue face, and a fast leopard...... Some of these animals are very ferocious, but they all need our protection. Through my work, I hope to convey the idea that "animals and plants are good friends of human beings", and that everyone should do what they can, so that the small green buds in the palm of our hands can gradually grow into towering trees and support a sea of green. ”
"In this competition, we saw many outstanding works, which showed the children's unique creativity and imagination, full of unique observation and understanding of nature, and filled with children's enthusiasm for environmental protection. At the award ceremony, Pan Zhenkai, member of the Party Committee and director of the Teacher Training Department of the China Children's Center, said that these works not only show the children's talents, but also show their deep thinking and determination to take positive actions on environmental issues. He urged the children to continue to pay attention to environmental issues and contribute to environmental protection in their own way.
Yan Lanyun, director of the Guangzhou Children's Activity Center, said that the Guangzhou Children's Activity Center has been guiding children to feel the beauty of a harmonious and balanced ecosystem, the close relationship between nature and human beings, understanding the significance and responsibility of protecting the natural ecology, practicing a green lifestyle, and helping Guangzhou build a green and low-carbon city through various forms of green environmental protection activities.
It is worth mentioning that the "Environment-Friendly and Child-Friendly" 2023 Natural Creative Painting Exhibition was also launched at the event site. A total of 80 outstanding works by children from all over the country were exhibited in the exhibition. Through these works, the general public can feel the children's concern and enthusiasm for environmental protection.
