"Watching the Winter Olympics at the foot of the Great Wall and watching the Great Wall at the Winter Olympics venue" is a highlight of the Zhangjiakou competition area. Yang Dongwu, director of the Chongli District Cultural Relics Protection Management Institute, introduced that the small city of Chongli is surrounded by the ruins of the Great Wall, and in the National Ski Jumping Center "Snow Ruyi", athletes can overlook the Great Wall. At the National Cross-Country Skiing Center and the National Biathlon Center, the distance between the Olympic track and the Great Wall is within easy reach. The Chongli Prince City Ice and Snow Town, which undertakes the supporting functions of the core area during the competition, is also very close to the ancient Great Wall. During the event, the Great Wall body and beacon tower in the core area of the Winter Olympics were illuminated to "light up" the Great Wall at night, giving the ancient Great Wall a new glow.
As a key construction area of the Great Wall National Cultural Park, Zhangjiakou is actively building a number of demonstration projects of the Great Wall National Cultural Park. Promoting the integration of culture and tourism is one of the key tasks in the construction and implementation of the Great Wall National Cultural Park.
"The Chongli Great Wall landscape display will continue to play a role by integrating cross-country event routes. At present, the Dajing Gate Section of the Great Wall National Cultural Park and the Wanquan Acropolis Protection and Development Project are also stepping up construction. Dajing Gate, known as the "first gate of the Great Wall", is the landmark and business card of Zhangjiakou City. For hundreds of years, as the only pass named after the "Gate" along the Great Wall, Dajing Gate has witnessed war and prosperity.
Walking into Mingdekou Street, located in the Dajingmen Great Wall Cultural Tourism Zone, a picture of the market that blends ancient and modern comes into view. It is understood that the Dajing Gate section of the Great Wall National Cultural Park has created the "Watching Peace, Opening and Integration" Mingdekou Street Great Wall Cultural Core Exhibition Park, the West Taipingshan Great Wall Protection Theme Exhibition Belt and the Laiyuanbao Characteristic Exhibition Point, and in the future, it will focus on displaying the border culture, business culture and ethnic integration cultural content contained in the Zhangjiakou Great Wall culture through immersive live performances, highlighting the characteristics of Dajing Gate as the only intersection of the Great Wall and the Tea Ceremony.

At present, in Wanquan District, the construction of the Wanquan Acropolis Protection and Development Project, a key project of the Great Wall National Cultural Park and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports and Cultural Tourism Belt, is being stepped up. As a military acropolis under the nine-sided town of the Ming Dynasty, the Wanquan Right Acropolis is known as the "living fossil made by the Ming Dynasty guard". Relying on the rich cultural relics and cultural relics of Wanquan Right Acropolis, the project strives to build a cultural industry system integrating "Great Wall culture + modern culture, historical ancient city + humanistic experience, culture and art + tourism and leisure".
Walking into the right acropolis, the antique buildings on both sides are delicate and exquisite. Soon, there will be a bustling shopping street with a variety of businesses and historical and cultural experiences.
"During the construction process, we have restored some of the original old courtyards in the city to show tourists the cultural characteristics of Wanquan's local houses more comprehensively. After the opening of the commercial and cultural block of Wanquanyou South Acropolis Street, visitors can have an immersive experience in theaters, teahouses, oil mills and other places, which is closer to history.
