1. Image upgrading
The biggest upgrade this time is undoubtedly the ultra-wide lens, as the main camera configuration is basically the same as that of the Z50S Pro, while the periscope telephoto configuration is basically the same as that of the Z50 Ultra.
As you can see from the poster, the highlights of this ultra-wide-angle lens are optical image stabilization, a large f/1.8 aperture, a 7P lens, a 1/1.55-inch outsole sensor, and a 1-micron sweet spot pixel size inferred from the total number of pixels (consistent with the main camera).
Judging from the size of this bottom, it is very likely to be OmniVision's OV50E, combined with a low optical distortion focal length of 18mm - its imaging quality may be stronger than the main camera of Redmi K70 Pro!
In addition, because Nubia has always insisted on using a 35mm main camera focal length, which is less distortion and can highlight the subject (close to the human eye), it is more suitable for humanistic street photography, so its demand for ultra-wide-angle lenses is much stronger than that of ordinary mobile phones.
- Moreover, the main camera-level ultra-wide-angle lens, which will be released this time, can form a perfect two-fold focal length complementarity with it, combined with the commonly used 85mm fixed-focus periscope lens (3.3x optical focal length), which is full of highlights in the allocation of focal lengths.
In general, this generation is the perfect combination of the Z50S Pro, which focuses on "high-definition optics, beyond one inch", and the Z50 Ultra, which focuses on "custom optics 35mm+85mm gold dual lenses", plus a main camera-level ultra-wide-angle lens.
2. Other upgrades
Compared to the previous generation Z50 Ultra, the discrete display chip in this generation has been upgraded to UDC Ultra, and the quad pixel size of the front camera has been increased to 2.8 microns - that is, the native pixel size is 1.4 microns.
The native pixel size of the previous generation of under-display cameras is 1.12 microns, which means that the light sensitivity of this generation of sensors has been increased by 56%! This undoubtedly greatly alleviates the embarrassment of the previous under-display camera, which caused insufficient light intake due to screen blocking.
In order to ensure the under-display camera experience, the pixel density of this generation of screen is still slightly higher than 1080P400PPI. However, due to the use of new BOE Q9+ light-emitting materials, the display quality and dimming strategy have also been upgraded.
As can be seen from the picture above, the fingerprint under the ultra-thin screen of the previous generation is still there, and it also supports IP68 dustproof and waterproof!
As for whether USB3, tri-band GPS, and large-volume X-axis linear motor (SLA0815) will continue to be used, there is basically no big problem.
Combined with the performance side's regular "Snapdragon 8 Gen3+LPDDR5X+UFS4.0" full configuration this year, as well as a 6000 mAh super giant battery (the previous generation was 5000 mAh), the overall use experience is worth looking forward to.

Although Nubia's market share is relatively small, it is undoubtedly taking the right many mainstream routes in this new generation of super-large cup models, such as the super-giant battery mentioned in the later part - the capacity of the coil battery is far more practical than the coil ultra-fast charging, and the waterproof function.
In addition, the under-screen camera has greatly improved its light sensitivity this time, and the imaging performance has indeed improved compared with the previous generation. There are also ultra-wide-angle lenses that are often strategically ignored by other brand flagships, and Nubia directly rolled out the ultra-wide-angle lens that is the best in the camera circle today!
And instead of using the 116° large angle of view lens of the previous generation with a 14mm focal length, the 18mm focal length with less optical distortion is chosen, combined with optical image stabilization, F/1.8 large aperture, 7P lens, and suspected OmniVision OV50E, the imaging performance is worth looking forward to.
As for the 35mm main camera, it is the same as the Z50S Pro with the optical quality of the lens (the sensor is estimated to be Sony IMX800), and it still uses the "1G+6P" glass-plastic lens combination, plus the lens configuration of a large clear aperture.
This not only effectively improves the resolution and light intake of the lens, but also brings better image quality and backlight performance, which is what the official vigorously claims "high-definition optics beyond an inch" - jumping out of the congested road of rolling sensors and finding another way.
Finally, there is the same 85mm periscope lens with about 3.3x optical focal length as the Z50 Ultra (the sensor is basically the OmniVision OV64B). The overall image hardware is fine, it depends on how much progress can be made in the algorithm this time.
