Because of this, readers inevitably expect the story of Xuzhu to be continued in sequels, or works with a later background of the times, for example, in terms of plot logic, there should be a figure of Xuzhu in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", but why didn't Jin Yong let him appear, and where did Xuzhu go?
1. The Vulture Palace Master who has not retired
The reason why the author thinks that the story of Xuzhu should not be over is because Jin Yong mentioned in the last chapter of the original book that Xuzhu did not completely retire later.
When the Song Liao War was quelled, Xiao Feng poked himself in the heart with a broken arrow, and was held by Ah Zi and fell off the cliff, I am afraid that even the gods will be difficult to save, and his story will naturally end here.
And the ending of Duan Yu has also been added in the new revised version, saying that it is: "According to the historical records of Dali: Dali (known as 'Houli') Xianzong Xuanren Emperor Duan Yu, when he ascended the throne, the year name was 'Rixin', and later changed to Wenzhi, Yongjia, Baotian, and Guangyun, with a total of five year names, and then abdicated as a monk, and he was the emperor for a total of 40 years, and he was located in his son Duan Zhengxing. ”

If you think so, you are wrong, the heroic shadow of Xuzhu is mentioned in the newly revised version of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" and "Heaven and Dragon Slayer".

Perhaps it is because of Jin Yong's changes in the original book that caused the plot loopholes.
3. Deleted heirs
This is the case with fictional martial arts novels, which are like stories woven from one lie after another, and sometimes more lies are needed to complete one lie, so it creates a situation where the east wall is demolished and the west wall is repaired.
For example, it is also the setting in the newly revised version of "Dragon Babu", Jin Yong let Wang Yuyan leave Duan Yu, and the reason why he made such changes was just to make Duan Yu's experience conform to the theme of "can't ask for it", the more Duan Yu wanted to get Wang Yuyan, the more Jin Yong couldn't let him get his wish.
But Jin Yong ignored the fact that Wang Yuyan and Murong Fu were already enemies at this time, and Murong Fu was the enemy who forced her parents to death, how could she still return to Murong Fu? Obviously, this is a loophole.
And there are such loopholes in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes".
In the old version of the setting, it is very likely that Xuzhu later retreated to the Taihu Lake area with Menggu, because the thirteenth chapter of the original book mentioned such a sentence: "Lu Guanying was waiting to inspect the injuries of the owner of the village, and the two boats sent Peng and Dong to the two injured owners of the village respectively, and said that the leader of the Ethereal Peak Guo was killed by Jin Guoqin's envoy and fell into the lake." ”

Compared with the Ethereal Peak of the year, the area of Taihu Lake is obviously more suitable for life, so Xuzhu took Menggu to live in seclusion here, and named this place Ethereal Peak, which is reasonable.
However, in the newly revised version, Jin Yong revised this description: "Lu Guanying was waiting to inspect the injuries of the owner of He Zhai, and two small boats sent the two injured owners of the village, Peng and Dong, respectively, and said that the leader of Guo in the West Dongting gave Jin Guoqin a spear to death and fell into the lake. ”
The Ethereal Peak is gone, and the story line of Xuzhu is naturally broken.
There is no way to do this, to connect several stories that were originally independent of each other, it is easy to have various problems, but I sigh that Jin Yong did not write a separate "Legend of the Dragon Queen" to narrate Xuzhu's later experience, which is really a pity.
