This morning (December 1), at an altitude of more than 1,800 meters above sea level, in Mala Town, Qianjiang District, Gray Thousand Mountain, overnight, the branches and leaves of grass and trees, as well as the pine and cypress, were covered with ice and snow, and they were dressed in white plain clothes.
"Flying" the mountains, the trees and rime flowers are stacked, the cold is in full bloom, the mountains are covered in silver, crystal clear, the rime of various postures is slowly spread out from the top of the mountain, such as the bead curtain jade plate, like the jade tree Qionghua, the vast mountains are dressed up as a fairy tale world.

The rime, commonly known as tree hanging, is a sediment of ice crystals where water vapor condenses on the branches and leaves of plants and trees at low temperatures, and is a very rare natural landscape.
The highest elevation of Gray Thousand Mountain in Qianjiang District is 1938.5 meters, where the vegetation is luxuriant, and from late November to March of the following year, when the cold air hits, the temperature in the mountain drops below zero, and there will be a magnificent rime landscape. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment, the scale of rime has also continued to expand.
Affected by the cold air, the minimum temperature in the high-altitude mountainous areas of Qianjiang District dropped to about -3 °C, the meteorological department predicts that the viewing period of the rime will last until December 3, due to the possible ice on the road into the mountain, the citizens who go to watch the rime landscape should follow the arrangements of the local emergency management department, and watch the scenery in an orderly manner under the premise of ensuring safety.
