At the 2023 China International Import Expo, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents the Reverso collection, a timeless design that embodies modern glamour, born at the height of the Art Deco movement. In this exhibition, Jaeger-LeCoultre features a selection of men's and women's timepieces, including two new creations with complications and a high complication, which were launched this year. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon features an intricate flying tourbillon that is visible at a glance through the double-sided dial and features a second time zone display on the back dial. Powered by the new Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre 860, the Reverso Tribute Chronograph combines a chronograph, retrograde minutes and a second time display on the back dial. The chronograph complication, which is embedded in a rectangular case in a new and unique way, is a rare and exemplary masterpiece.

This mysterious figure is an acknowledged aesthetic symbol, a universal law of beauty and harmony in both natural and man-made masterpieces. In the world of Haute Horlogerie, the "golden ratio" has been the design-oriented aesthetic of the Reverso since its inception in 1931.

The "golden ratio" represented by the Greek letter "φ" (Phi), simply represented by a number of 1.618, embodies the ingenious and fascinating mathematical relationship within the object, and can also be transformed into a "golden spiral" and a "golden rectangle". The "golden spiral" is not only found in well-known geometric shapes, such as the arrangement of petals, the hierarchy of pine towers, and the spiral shape of seashells, but also in larger things such as the shape of galaxies and the eye of a hurricane. Jaeger-LeCoultre's exhibition at the 2023 China International Import Expo (CIIE) traces the long history of humanity from the dawn of mankind more than 2,000 years ago, to the discovery and determination of the mathematical formula of the "golden ratio", and to the present day, linking humanity's relentless quest for defining aesthetics with the Reverso timepieces presented at the exhibition site, and presented through the design of the booth.
Jaeger-LeCoultre's Salute to the Golden Ratio exhibition will be held from 5 to 10 November 2023 at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
