Montblanc presents a new collection of special edition writing instruments for famous personalities, Muhammad Ali

The Montblanc Legends collection celebrates the legends and achievements of those who have left a lasting mark on human culture.

Muhammad Ali is a three-time world heavyweight boxing champion who has become a sporting legend and became one of the most influential figures of the 20th century due to his active involvement in civil rights. The new Montblanc Celebrity Collection Muhammad Ali Special Edition is a tribute to a legend who not only defeated his opponents in the boxing ring, but also sacrificed precious time in his career to fight tirelessly for what he believed in, using his intellect, charisma and prestige to speak up for the rights of citizens.

Muhammad Ali, born Cassius Clay (1942-2016), was born in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, and began boxing at the age of 12. At the age of 18, he made his mark on the international sporting scene as a lightweight amateur at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, where he won a gold medal. Just four years later, he became the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion and the world was shaken, and he changed his name to Muhammad Ali in the same year.

Soon after, he became passionate about the civil rights and peace movement. In 1967, he was stripped of his boxing license and stripped of his World Championship title for his staunchly anti-war attitude and public refusal to serve in the military. After three-and-a-half years, he was allowed to return to boxing, winning his second and third career World Titles. To this day, Muhammad Ali remains the only boxer to win the direct World Heavyweight Boxing title three times.

The new Montblanc Celebrity Collection of Mohammed Ali Special Editions is a three-piece collection of Muhammad Ali Writing Instruments, which correspond to the three major victories of boxing champion Ali (1964, 1974 and 1978), highlighting the different facets of his magnificent life and revealing his lasting influence. The three-dimensional structure of the pen bandage corresponds to the handguard bandage wrapped around the fist of champions, symbolizing its superb boxing skills. He was invincible in the ring, often described as "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" for his light and sharp boxing style, inspired by the shape of the special writing instrument, which resembles a bee at the end of the barrel and a butterfly motif on the cap. The gold belt is the crowning honor bestowed on the boxing champion, and the clip is specially crafted in the style of a championship belt.
