The person involved in the case, He Rui, who was then the retail account manager of the Tianjin Dagu South Road Branch of Industrial Bank Co., Ltd., was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the court for committing fraud in the name of investment and wealth management.

The scam began several years ago. As a bank account manager, He Rui took advantage of his position to trick customers into transferring money in the name of investment and financial management.
