Qingshuihe District is a district of the Kokang Autonomous Region, where a Qingshuihe River port connects with Mengding Town, Gengma County, Lincang City, China. On October 29, the Burmese army bombed the Qingshui River with aircraft, and later sent more than 80 airborne troops in an attempt to retake the area. As a result, the combat effectiveness of the Burmese army is unexpectedly poor, and these Burmese troops can be said to have landed directly into a box. The follow-up logistics materials were all seized by the Kokang Alliance and made wedding dresses for others. In addition to the Qingshui River, a large number of Burmese strongholds on the outskirts of the Kokang Autonomous Region have also been conquered, and the number of Burmese casualties is unknown. The Kokang Allied Forces announced that they had conquered as many as 57 strongholds, and since the number of Burmese troops in each stronghold was not large, ranging from more than a dozen to a few dozen, the total casualties of the Burmese army may be in the hundreds, but some of these strongholds controlled the Kokang Autonomous Region's external communication channels, including Shan State, resulting in a semi-blockade of the Kokang Autonomous Region.

Although the Burmese government army has lost a large number of outlying strongholds and many casualties, the Burmese government and the four major families of the Kokang Autonomous Region may not be particularly concerned about these losses. It is even difficult to say whether these battles were fought by deliberately putting the Democratic and Kokang Alliance forces in and fighting again.
