Leave this problem to UNESCO! The World Heritage project "South China Karst" has selected seven karst landforms, and Guizhou has selected two of them.
One is the already famous Libo in Qiannan Prefecture, which is considered to be the representative landform of the world's conical karst.
As for the other place, in front of the great rivers and mountains of Guizhou, it is often overlooked.
Yuntai Mountain in Shibing County, Qiandongnan Prefecture is a neglected World Heritage Site. Tourists from other provinces rarely know, and even when it comes to Yuntai Mountain, the first thing that comes to everyone's mind is Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province.
The reason why Shibingyuntai Mountain can transcend many karst landforms in Guizhou and be selected as a World Heritage Site is not because of the beauty of the scenery, but because of the world's typical dolomite karst landforms.
As we all know, our common karst landforms are mainly composed of limestone. The dolomite karst, which is similar to the limestone structure, is relatively rare in the world, and Shi Bingyuntai Mountain is one of the best.
The layman just looks at the fun, and non-geology enthusiasts, limestone and dolomite are estimated to be stupid and can't tell the difference. If you have to find out the difference between the two karst landforms, the most intuitive manifestation is that the dolomite karst will form knife-like lines on the surface.
Unfortunately, the special value of geology does not bring about the "wonders" of the scenery, which may be the reason why Yuntai Mountain was left out in the cold.
But if you want to travel deeply in southeast Guizhou, or avoid the already commercial scenic spots, Yuntai Mountain may be worth a visit, after all, there is a lush forest world hidden in the mountains, rivers and flowers.
