Autumn is the season of bumper grain harvest, and various localities on the mainland are taking various measures to ensure a bumper harvest of grain in autumn. At present, the main crops such as maize and rice in the northern part of the continent have entered the late stage of grain filling, and this period is crucial for the formation of yields. Autumn harvests have already begun in some of the main grain-producing areas in the south.
Recently, the "drought to water" project area in Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Province, has achieved its first bumper rice harvest. Through the implementation of the Land Quality Improvement Project, the region has successfully transformed previously low-yielding dryland into high-quality paddy fields with smooth contiguous areas and easy drainage and irrigation, thereby increasing food productivity.
In Yongfeng Village, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, rice harvesting has also begun. This year, with the help of remote sensing satellites and integrated space technology, Meishan City has established an agricultural data system to realize digital monitoring of the whole process of rice growth, which helps guide the precise management of farmland, reduce production costs, and increase yields.
At this moment, 100,000 acres of red sorghum in Fucheng County, Hebei Province also ushered in a large-scale harvest. This year, 36 special agricultural service teams have been set up in the area to promote biological control technologies such as red-eyed bees and appropriate biological fertilizers to ensure the quality and stable yield of sorghum.
This year is the first year of the large-scale campaign to increase the yield of major grain and oil crops launched by the mainland. Shandong Province demonstrated and promoted the high-yield model of dense planting of maize in 31 counties. In Linyi County, local farmers have adopted new corn varieties suitable for dense planting, combined with integrated technologies such as precision fertilization, to lay a solid foundation for increasing yields.
In Fuping County, Shaanxi Province, the agricultural department sent more than 200 technicians to the front line to guide farmers to complete the "one spray and multiple promotion" operation of corn. At present, the corn plants are growing well and vigorously.
