300,000 kilowatts is too small, the technology is backward, foreign countries have long been eliminated, and there is no value. Since it was decided to introduce a 900,000-kilowatt series, it is unreasonable to engage in a large project with little technical grasp and no development prospects.
For this reason, at this meeting, this issue was talked about again, and everyone quarreled inextricably, and still no one could convince anyone. This made it impossible to continue this meeting, so it had to be interrupted!
However, this incident has also attracted the attention and statements of more high-ranking party figures.
At that time, when Chen Yun learned of this incident, his attitude was very clear, he supported General Zhang Aiping, and instructed: "We must build our own nuclear power plant." ”
In the end, the construction of the Qinshan nuclear power plant was successfully started, and it was connected to the grid in 1991 and put into commercial operation in 1994, making China the seventh country in the world capable of designing and building nuclear power plants.
