Donggao looked at the twilight and leaned on what he wanted.

The trees are all autumn colors, and the mountains are only falling.

Shepherds drive calves back, and hunting horses bring birds back.

Wang Ji was a poet of the late Sui and early Tang dynasties, who served as a secretary in the Tang Dynasty to the province of Zhaomen, and soon resigned and returned to his hometown. During the Zhenguan period, he became a Taile Cheng and resigned, and this poem was composed by the poet when he resigned his official and lived in seclusion in Donggao (Hejin, Shanxi).
