Today (October 20th), the 2023 Shanghai Real Estate High-quality Meat Pigeon Tasting and Evaluation Activity was held at the Xijiao International Agricultural Products Exhibition Direct Sales Center. Fifteen companies went into battle to undergo "blind testing" by experts and citizens.
At the tasting site, the staff turned on the rice cooker in turn, the pigeon soup soup base was clear, the color was bright yellow, the pigeon meat was tender and juicy, steaming hot, and the house was fragrant for a while. "The meat is tender, the soup is delicious, and the aftertaste is endless." Mr. Leung, a citizen, said, "This event not only satisfies the experience on the tip of the tongue, but also increases our understanding of real estate pigeons. ”
This year's real estate high-quality meat pigeon tasting activity selected 15 enterprises (cooperatives) to participate. The participating meat pigeons are 24-26 days old, the suckling pigeons weigh 350-400 grams in a clean bore, and have their own brands or regional public brands registered with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The event invited expert judges and citizen judges to score together, the expert judges from the basic review of the brand, certification, traceability, packaging, production base of the participating meat pigeon, to the appearance quality and taste and other aspects of comprehensive evaluation, the citizen judges through the "viewing, tasting" link - watching the appearance of meat pigeon, tasting meat pigeon flavor to score, the whole activity is supervised by the notary office.
It is reported that meat pigeon breeding industry is an important part of Shanghai's suburban animal husbandry, at present there are about 60 meat pigeon breeding enterprises in Shanghai, about 600,000 pairs of breeding pigeons, and an annual production of about 10 million dairy pigeons, with a total output value of 400 million yuan. In 2022, the Shanghai meat pigeon industry technology system was established, the system is guided by industrial and market demand, integrates scientific research, enterprises, promotion and other relevant agricultural science and technology advantageous resources, solves the "stuck neck" technology of the city's meat pigeon industry development, and promotes industrial technology research and development and upgrading.
After fierce competition, the "Hero List" was announced in the meat pigeon competition: Shanghai Golden Emperor Pigeon Industry Co., Ltd., Shanghai Golden Pigeon Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Zhongge Industrial Co., Ltd. won the gold award in the real estate high-quality meat pigeon tasting and evaluation activity. Shanghai Zhuqiao King Pigeon Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xinrong Grand Emperor Pigeon Breeding Professional Cooperative, Shanghai Golden Pigeon Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Golden Emperor Pigeon Industry Co., Ltd. won the Citizen Welcome Award. Ye Junping, member of the party group and deputy director of the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Committee, presented awards to the units that won the gold award.
