Yangzhou is the origin city of the canal with the Grand Canal, and the wonderful chapter of the thousand-year-old canal flows here. On October 4, the Grand Canal Origin Park of China was officially opened, which not only protects the culture, inheritance and utilization of the Grand Canal, but also makes the ancient Grand Canal glow with a new style of the times.
China Grand Canal Origin Park is located in Zhuxi Street, Hanjiang District. From Shikefa Road in the west, Wuwangfucha Square in the east, Hangou Road in the north, and Hanjianggou in the south, with an area of 40,500 square meters. In the process of planning and design, the park deeply excavated the cultural connotation and era value of the canal, and told the history of the earliest excavation section of the Grand Canal of China.
Zhu Yunlong, director of the Zhuxi Street Construction Bureau of Hanjiang District, introduced that they have fully excavated the historical allusions of Wu Wangfu to open the Hangou and build the Hancheng, and added the landscape sketches of the ancient Hangou wharf, the ancient hangou exhibition hall, and the node cities along the canal to the park, and at the same time, implanted the experience, play, dress-up, camping, catering and other business formats of the ancient hangou culture in the park.
At the opening event, the cultural and creative works of the Grand Canal Origin Park of China were officially released. China's Grand Canal Origin Park was born in the context of the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, and its completion and opening not only provides citizens and tourists with a place for leisure and recreation, but also protects, inherits and utilizes the Grand Canal culture, showing the cultural and historical value of the origin of the Grand Canal of China, and making the ancient Grand Canal glow with a new style of the times.
Jiang Shili, chairman of the Yangzhou Municipal Federation of Literature and Culture, introduced that the Grand Canal Origin Park is inherited and utilized on the basis of the ancient canal culture, you can see the water of the ancient hangou, think about the ancient ghost, and build it into a park around the people. In the future, Origin Park will also set up a lot of introductions to canal knowledge, and some participatory projects on canal culture, so that local citizens and foreign tourists can deeply understand the canal culture, so as to create new value for today's life.
