Although the structure of the Wheel of Liberty appeared as early as 2019, when it appeared on the shell shape of the new Blast series, it showed a different flavor.

Of all the current shell shapes in Athens, my personal favorite is the Blast series, as its one-piece folded lugs are both maverick and bony and powerful. It perfectly realizes the smooth transition of the head and strap through three hard folding surfaces, officially inspired by stealth fighters, but I think if you look at it from the side, you will find that it is more like avant-garde modern architecture, especially the practice of sandwiching a polished surface between two brushed surfaces, which further enhances the layering of the lugs while stimulating the overall sense of space of the watch, and it is no exaggeration to say that this unique design is definitely a great innovation in the field of watch design. Especially with the unique sapphire crystal box crystal of the Wheel of Freedom, it is simply another innovation in the Blast shell shape.
From the very beginning, the Wheel of Freedom adhered to the concept of 360-degree viewing of the movement without dead angles, and it used not so much a box-shaped crystal as a metal lug to a crystal case. This design strategy first of all does not have the shackles of the traditional bezel, highlighting the magnificent momentum; Secondly, the dial space is optimized to create an endless visual picture; Third, because the crystal cover acts as part of the case, the area of the whole watch that is most easily scratched is greatly reduced; Finally, you can admire the floating beauty of the UN-176 calibre in all directions. Although the 45 mm diameter of this watch is a bit large, the fully ergonomic Blast white gold folding lugs will ensure your comfortable fit.
The greatest charm of the Athenian Wheel of Freedom is that seemingly unrelated mechanical mechanisms actually interact, as if in a symphony. A beautiful barrel decorated with silicon inlay at 12 o'clock provides a power reserve of 7 days; The same beautiful large drum is located at 3 o'clock, although the mechanism for measuring the power reserve is at 8 o'clock, but the power reserve indicator is at 4 o'clock; The tourbillon with Athens-anchored constant swing escapement occupies a prime position of 6 o'clock, the tourbillon assembly consists of 45 parts, and its silicon constant assembly ensures that the force output of the balance wheel is not affected by the dynamic profit and loss. In addition, the left side of the dial is equipped with reduction gears, a power reserve differential and an intermediate wheel.
If the most important thing about this watch is the dial, which is inlaid with 103 blue silicon wafers, these micron-precision silicon wafers are not only matte and polished, but also through the thickness of 0.3 and 0.35 mm, creating a variety of wonderful light and shadow effects. Such a delicate and complex arrangement of these wafers requires hours of hard labor by skilled craftsmen, who must also apply great skill to protect these extremely fragile wafers from breakage and scratches. I have always emphasized that Athens is a brand of inclusive technology, and this watch allows me to see the achievements of Athens with technology to achieve art!
