"Jin Yong Wuxia World" is a martial arts TV series directed by Xu Bing, Deng Ke, Cao Dun, Zang Xichuan, Yang Lei, etc., starring Zhou Wei, Gao Weiguang, Chen Duling, Luo Qiuyun, He Rundong, etc., adapted from Mr. Jin Yong's classic martial arts novels. The play is divided into five chapters, namely "East Evil and West Poison", "Southern Emperor and Northern Qi", "Huashan on the Sword", "Nine Yin True Scripture" and "Iron and Blood Pill Heart", each chapter is set in an era and shows different martial arts trends and character destinies.
Huang Yaoshi (played by Zhou Wei): Dongxie, the lord of Peach Blossom Island, and the ancestor of the Nine Flowers Jade Dew Pill. He is proficient in various disciplines such as medical science, music law, organs, art of war, chess, etc., and his martial arts skills are invincible, but his temperament is strange and suspicious, and he is indifferent to outsiders. He loves his wife Feng Heng and daughter Huang Rong, but loses them due to a misunderstanding. He later took Guo Jing as an apprentice and married Yang Guo as a righteous father and son.
Ouyang Feng (played by Gao Weiguang): Western poison, the owner of White Camel Mountain Villa, and the ancestor of Toad Gong. He is gifted and has excellent martial arts, but his mind is not right, and he is lustful and greedy for money. He used to be close friends with Huang Yaoshi, but betrayed him because he coveted the Nine Yin True Scripture and Feng Heng. He later took Yang Kang as an apprentice and became an enemy with Yang Guo.
Feng Heng (played by Chen Duling): Mrs. Peach Blossom Island, Huang Rong's mother. She is a gentle and virtuous woman who is deeply loved by Huang Yaoshi. She once had a relationship with Ouyang Feng, but she didn't know his affection for her. She was rescued by Ouyang Feng because of an accident and imprisoned by him in White Camel Mountain. She was later saved by Guo Jing (played by this sha) and reunited with Huang Yaoshi.
Yan Min (played by Luo Qiuyun): Ouyang Feng's niece and Yang Guo's cousin. She is a beautiful and intelligent woman who has deep feelings for Yang Guo. She once fled White Camel Mountain with Yang Guo, but separated due to a misunderstanding. She was later rescued by Guo Jing and met Yang Guo again.
Hong Qigong (played by Ming Dao): Bei Pi, the leader of the Gang, and the ancestor of the eighteen palms of the dragon. He is a bold and upright quack figure with high martial arts, but he does not like to fight for power. He used to be brothers of the same disciple as Huang Yaoshi and Ouyang Feng, but parted ways because of their incompatible personalities. He later took Guo Jing as an apprentice and married Yang Guo as a righteous uncle and nephew.
Duan Zhixing (played by He Rundong): Southern Emperor, Emperor of Dali, ancestor of Yiyang Finger. He was a benevolent and wise monarch, with profound martial arts, but not good at fighting. He used to be brothers of the same disciple as Huang Yaoshi and Ouyang Feng, but it was difficult to meet because of their different identities. He later took Wuzhu as an apprentice and married Yang Guo as a righteous brother.
"Jin Yong Wuxia World" is a wonderful drama that shows the grievances, love and hatred, good and evil opposition, and life and death decisions in the martial arts world. It not only restores the spirit of Mr. Jin Yong's original work, but also gives each character a more vivid and profound personality and emotions. The acting skills of the starring actors such as Zhou Wei and Gao Weiguang are also amazing, and they portray the inner world and external performance of each character very well, making the audience feel the same way.
