This drama is the second in the series of long-form historical epic dramas "Great Qin Empire". It tells the historical story of the period during the Warring States period, after the Shang martingale changed the law, the new monarch of the Qin state, Qin Huiwen Wang, faced with the siege of the Six Kingdoms, resolutely appointed Zhang Yi, crossed the border, broke through the predicament, and revitalized and expanded the Qin state. After watching this play, I think there are the following highlights.
First of all, Qin Huiwen Wang Yingsi, played by Fu Dalong, is very ambitious and can take the interests of Great Qin as a starting point. In the play, King Huiwen of Qin has a bloody nature and longs for the Qin Kingdom to cut off the Six Kingdoms and realize the dream of unifying the world. Indeed, although he did not realize his lofty ambitions when he left, he appointed a capable person, Zhang Yi, so that the Qin state could expand its territory without spending too many troops. In addition, he loved two women all his life. One was Wei Shu and the other was Mi Yue. Wei Shu gave birth to the later King Wu of Qin, but when she became related to the King of Qin, she heeded the threat of the King of Wei and assassinated the King of Qin, leaving a lifetime of shadow on the King of Qin and hastening the death of King Huiwen of Qin. Mi Yue, the eighth son of Qi, gave birth to the later King Yingji of Qin Zhao, who was also the woman beloved by King Yingsi of Qin Huiwen.
Secondly, Zhang Yi had great talent to assist Qin Jun's diplomatic strategy of mainly basing diplomatic relations and supplementing logging wars. He pioneered the battle plan of company and horizontal, with "horizontal" and "vertical" breaking. Zhang Yi's battle with the rhinoceros became the main theme of the department. Indeed, Zhang Yi used his diplomatic strategy plus the powerful army of the Qin state to make the Qin state stronger and stronger, laying the foundation for the great unification of the Qin state later.
Third, Mi Yue, played by Tranquility, subverted the image of Mi Yue in "The Legend of Mi Yue". Before she married into the King of Qin, she already had a son with Yiqu Jun. In this drama, Mi Yue gives people the feeling of being very debauched, liking power, and quite bold. This kind of personality of hers could not be controlled by ordinary people, but it happened to be similar to the interests of King Huiwen of Qin. Even though she had already given birth to a child, she was still deeply pleased with the King of Qin. Moreover, she later played a key role in her son Winji's seizure of power. However, this role feels quite crazy in the play, although dare to think and dare to say, but it is not very pleasing, and the language has a frivolous feeling.
Fourth, Yin Hua, also known as "Gongzi Hua", was the son of Duke Xiao of Qin and the younger brother of King Huiwen of Qin. Yinhua Shanwu was a general of the Qin state during the reign of King Huiwen of Qin. In the Great Battle of Qin and Chu, Yin Hua returned to save Xianyang, broke through, and died in battle. In the play, Yinghua is brave and powerful, and fully shows the demeanor of the general.
Fifth, Ying Yi is also a very successful character in the play, he can judge the situation and assist the king to achieve great things. It should be known that Yin Yi had three generations of assistance to King Huiwen of Qin, King Wu of Qin, and King Zhao of Qin. It can be seen from this that he is an extremely talented person, and he can protect himself wisely and loyal enough to the Qin State to promote the development of the Qin State.
Sixth, Queen Wei Shu did not have her own ideas and was always the same. First, he assassinated the King of Qin at the time of the big wedding, and then he believed that people like Yingzhuang, who sought power and seized the throne, eventually led to their own tragedy.
Seventh, one of the characters in the play who feels more defeated is Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan is single-minded for the country, but in the play, he does not know how to be flexible, is reckless, and ultimately fails to save the country of Chu.
All in all, this drama is not bad, and it is worth watching.
