Sweet Xiangjiang Circle of Friends (11)丨Yuxiang Yarn Factory

Yuxiang Mill was founded in 1912 at Changsha Yinpenling Linjiang Wharf, then known as the first yarn factory in Hunan, the earliest spinning child of Hunan, Republic of China. Influenced by Western culture, European temperament occupies the eyebrows. and the adjacent new Fisherman's Wharf, the atmosphere is the same, but the generation is different, the difference is 100 years.

In its 111-year history, it has undergone five name changes, namely Hunan First Mill, Hunan Third Mill, Yuxiang Mill, Changsha Textile Factory, and Yintai Textile Co., Ltd. Each name change has its own specific era background, fortunately, the cycle of years, there is still an "old tablet", according to folk parlance, it can be called a blessing for five generations.

Modern history is also the history of national difficulties, some things are not far away, the camera zooms in at will, and the wrinkles on the forehead are clearly distinguishable. It's just that we walked too quickly, and the long shirts on our bodies were changed one after another. Sometimes, even the old people of the Yuxiang yarn factory were anxious when they saw it, for fear that the wind on the street would be too windy, and the wind discipline button on the neck of the "Xiao Xianggong" would be scattered, and a new chaos would be caused.

On the beach of the Fisherman's Wharf, the young man who peeled the crayfish, did not recognize this reason, put some small cloth on his body, provoked neon eyes, although it was not, obviously very happy to watch. In fact, the Yuxiang yarn mill should not be too old-fashioned, since it has a foreigner's hair line on its face, it should have a bit of the wind and waves of the prince of the Republic of China in his heart.

Most of the clothes worn by the old Changsha people are the thread spun here, and the old method of threading the needle and thread left by the ancestors can weave the cicada wing silkworm clothes unearthed from the tomb of Mawangdui Han, which shows that the old craftsmanship is very sophisticated. But it takes a lot of time, in addition to opening some façade for the emperor's Xiangjia, most of the world's cloth clothes can only be glanced through the curtain.

Sweet Xiangjiang Circle of Friends (11)丨Yuxiang Yarn Factory

Since the beginning of modern times, foreign goods have been flooded, and Westerners have brought more and more life experiences, which has made many people with lofty ideals realize the danger of shortage of domestic goods. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Li Hongzhang was in the forefront, and the "Lafayette" at that time had woken up with a yawn and built a lot of strong ships and cannons. However, the battle was defeated, the court was dull, the people suffered, and all kinds of rhetoric were quarrelsome, but there was one point, everyone agreed, the skill was inferior, and they would inevitably be beaten.

Yuxiang Mill hurriedly stood on the embankment of the riverbank, carrying in his arms a feeling of saving the country. At that time, Wu Zuolin, a councilor of the Hunan Governor's Office, advocated "running factories and rejuvenating domestic products", and for this reason, he ran to call for grievances and suffered all kinds of grievances, which is worth remembering for future generations.

The modern process of spinning and weaving comes from the spinning machines of Amway & Co., and other accompanying electric products, most of which are German goods. In 1913, the factory was put into operation, mainly producing two brands: "Junshan" and "Yuelu". Since then, the ancestors of Hunan Light Textile have officially appeared on the stage, and ships from south to north have brought the cotton yarn here together with the "foreign school" to the far reaches of river boats.

From 1913 to 1938, for 25 years, it is impossible to verify how much cotton yarn and how much cloth the Yuxiang Mill produced. But at its peak, the mill covered an area of more than 2,000 acres and nearly 8,000 workers. During the Anti-Japanese War, 15 aircraft were donated here, and textile workers donated another 200,000 yuan in wages, which was engraved in the merit book of history. It is inferred from this that the Yuxiang Mill at that time was definitely the boss of Hunan enterprises, and it may have earned more silver taels than listed companies now.

In the Wenxi fire of 1938, the factory was moved to Huaihua Qianyang, where there was still production, but the equipment was lacking and the output was very low. Until 1948, it was rebuilt in the original site of Changsha and registered as the third yarn factory in Hunan Province. After the founding of New China, it was first called Yu Spinning Mill, and quickly restored and expanded the scale of production, and the mill in the planned economy era was very prosperous. In 1966, it was renamed Changsha Textile Factory and became the vanguard of the national light industry textile system. Later, with the rise of the coastal textile industry, the people entered the country and retreated, Yuxiang yarn mill gradually showed its old state, equipment and facilities became increasingly backward, officially withdrew from production in 1997, and established Changsha Yintai Textile Co., Ltd. after restructuring and reorganization in 1998. In 2009, the old factory was fully relocated.

The existing Yuxiang yarn mill is only the site of the wharf in the old factory area. It covers an area of about 20 acres, with a construction area of more than 7,000 square meters, with a total of three buildings: factory door, office building and warehouse, lined up. All are yellow walls, hemp stone wall skirts. The gatehouse is in the middle, European-style columns, and the houses on both sides are three-story, relatively neat, with round arched eaves corridors, with a bit of ancient Roman architectural style. The square along the river is spacious, slightly below the street level, and the green plants on both sides are naturally integrated with the yacht marina directly in front, surging a superimposed fashion beauty of old and new.

Fisherman's Wharf and Yuxiang Mill are not far apart, but one is lively, the other is safe, the age is different, and the mood is different. The old factory area opposite has long been lined with high-rise buildings. That demeanor, I can no longer see the slightest sense of remembrance. However, the old wharf of Yuxiang Mill has not diminished its ancient meaning, and has faded the traces of industrial remains, from the left side of the river to the right front, like a reader who has stayed in the ocean, returned to the embankment of his hometown, holding the old Changsha immortal arm, pointing to the sail shadows on the river, narrating the past of the years.

Changsha people value their feelings and attach great importance to the things left by their ancestors, and for this, they spent a lot of silver taels. The Yuxiang Mill can have the decency it has now, and the same is true. Some people want to change this place into a Western-style wine cellar, but the business opportunity may be too heavy and they have lost it. The ancestors did not bless this, and the wine cellar was soon moved. Later, a few more people came, chattering and wah-wah, pulling more corn shells, really falling out of the ticket less, lively for a while, and disappeared, as for the people who want to set up a stall here, open a small restaurant more, fortunately the uncle guarding the door is tightly managed, otherwise, the dignity of the elders has long been lost here.

Scold! Some things, really have to talk about fate, Fisherman's Wharf spent a lot of thought, wanted to build a luxury store, and turned into an Internet celebrity night snack stall. The windfall of the market fireworks, although not enough for foreign style, made the vendors happy to close their mouths.

Yuxiang yarn factory is so famous, the river shoreline around it, woven like a skirt, elongated lace is very sexy, casually turn around, and wrap it on the curtain of the yarn factory. There are thousands of styles placed here, and there should be no less guys on blind dates. It is not that the heart is poor and loves the rich, and the elderly "ancestors" have to be handed over to the rich children and grandchildren to do something, so that the old people do not worry about eating and wearing, even if the muscles and bones collide a little, they can also get timely diagnosis and treatment. If you encounter an unseemly impatient man, rub the excitement and run, in such a conspicuous place, really want to leave a mess, it is estimated that Jiang Feng is uncomfortable to watch, and will be anxious to step on his foot.

Circled around the inside, intuitively, the heart of Yuxiang Mill, still can't let go of the decency it once had, as the "grandfather" of Hunan Light Spinning, he has seen too much of the world, things on the rivers and lakes, and cultural people can't figure it out. I heard that the Windsor Wedding Company has stopped here, and a group of young people ran in, starting more fiercely than the river wind, for those things in the Republic of China, under the camera, there were enough gifts for love. I believe that holding hands with Yuxiang Yarn Factory, there is no need to put on a time-honored face, and a marriage contract that spans a hundred years will definitely come as scheduled and become more and more popular.
