However, as long as it is fishing for live water, there will inevitably be a phenomenon of drifting, and there are more ways to deal with it.
First, the plumb sinks to the bottom
Sinker is the easiest and most effective way to hold the rig in place. There are roughly three ways to fish with a sinker lying on the bottom, big running lead, running lead fishing, and double lead, and the difference between the three is actually very simple. The lead of the big run is a dead fall, the lead sinker is not moving, and the waterline is perpendicular to the bottom of the water. Double lead is an upgraded version of the big run lead, one lead sinker lies at the bottom and one lead sinker is suspended, you can adjust the size of the lead sinker at the bottom to adjust the sensitivity when the lead sinker is lying on the bottom. The running lead is live lead, which is different from the above two fishing methods, and the water line is also slanted, so that the fishing line can slide more smoothly in the lead sinker. There are two important points to pay attention to in the sinking bottom fishing method, the first is that the line should not be long, and it is best to use a relatively hard nylon line. 2. Slow current fishing
Fishing live water is to fish slow current, the principle is also very simple, it is difficult to stay for a long time in the rapids, the fish is basically ineffective, and the common fish, such as crucian carp, carp, herring, bream, etc., can not stay in the rapids for too long, can not forage in the rapids, so these fish are more difficult to catch in the rapids. Another advantage of fishing for slow currents is that the food carried by the current is definitely deposited in places where the current is slower, where there are more fish in abundance. For example, when fishing rivers and lakes, the inlets are usually about 20 meters away. If you are fishing for rapids, be sure to look for places with slow currents, such as piers and boulders, or slow-flowing areas such as bays and bends.
3. Don't use bait
It is not advisable to use bait for live water fishing because it is easier to wash away. The bait you can choose is roughly the same as grain grains, such as corn kernels, wheat kernels, and the like. Or it is a commercial bait such as rubber band pellets. There are also worms, white worms and other insect bait. It is recommended to try insect bait, the effect of earthworms in live water is much better than that of still water, and almost any fish can eat. However, it is still more recommended to have white worms, which are more versatile insect bait, crucian carp, carp, grass carp, etc. will eat white worms. The advantage of earthworms is that they are wriggling, because the water flow usually carries sediment, so that the wriggling bait is easier for fish to find in muddy waters. The advantage of white insects is that they are white, and even when the water is relatively turbid, it is easier for fish to find white insects.
Fourth, look at the rod
If the current is fast, there is little point in using a float because the line is often slanted even if the rig is fixed. In other words, the most susceptible to the current is the float, and if there is no float, the rig is still relatively easy to fix. Therefore, there is no need to float to see the rod, this method is simple and effective, and it is basically the same as the rod throwing. Use a rod that is on the soft side, so it's easier to see a slight jittery of the rod. For a large plumb sinker with a straight line, be sure to use a single hook. Once you've hung the bait, cast the rod into the water, then drag the rod a little upstream to make sure the line is tight, and wait for the fish to bite. In order to make it easier to see the rod shake slightly, you can put a seven-star drift on the fishing line in advance and move it to the slightly position of the rod.
