In order to solve the problems of adolescent height, obesity and early development, a few days ago, Jianshui County Guanxi Work Committee and United County People's Hospital carried out free diagnosis activities for adolescent growth and development. This free clinic activity screened adolescents for short stature, precocious puberty and childhood obesity.
During the free clinic, pediatric medical staff provide free registration fees, free height and weight measurement, growth assessment and lifelong height prediction for children and adolescents who are troubled by short stature, precocious puberty and obesity, and provide growth and development and health care guidance for different ages.
A total of 35 children with short stature, 22 children with obesity, 48 children with precocious puberty and 1 hypothyroidism were screened through height measurement, weight, medical history, free drawing of growth curves, physical examination, bone age film detection, 25(OH)D detection, etc., the youngest age was 2 years old and the oldest was 14 years old, and a total of 35 children with short stature, 22 children with obesity, 48 children with precocious puberty and 1 child with hypothyroidism were screened, and detailed follow-up examinations and diagnosis and treatment intervention plans were formulated under the guidance of pediatricians. Five children with short stature, three obese children and four children with precocious puberty were admitted to the hospital, and further provocative tests were carried out and treatment plans were formulated.
The free clinic activity popularized the correct knowledge of children's growth and development for parents, and raised the attention of families and society to endocrine diseases such as short stature, obesity, and precocious puberty, which was well received by parents and children.
