However, unlike the August 5 interception, this time the China Coast Guard ship followed the entire process. The fundamental reason is that although the Philippine side shouts loudly, its actions are very sincere. Neither of the two emergency repair ships transported illegal construction materials.
The China Coast Guard's previous statement has been very clear. The Philippine vessel was seized for transporting construction materials to the ship Sierra Madre, which had illegally landed under the guise of shipment.

This is a good thing for the countries bordering the South China Sea. But some clearly do not want to see peace and stability in the South China Sea. The United States, Japan, Australia and the Philippines hold joint military exercises in the South China Sea. The Philippine Navy's USS Davao South reportedly participated in the exercise. In other words, the Philippines withdrew after deciding to withdraw from the exercises.

But the question is, are Japan, the United States, and Australia's moves to stoke confrontation in the South China Sea effective. This is clearly not possible at the present time.
On the one hand, although the Philippines wants to use the Sino-US game to gain benefits, the Marcos government knows what the Philippine military has finally abandoned this time over the supply of illegal construction materials.

The Philippines may want to touch China, but it has absolutely no intention of acting as cannon fodder for the United States against China. This is evidenced by the fact that the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs has publicly expressed its desire to facilitate the creation of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.
On the other hand, the current comparison of China's naval power with the United States, Japan and other countries is not what it used to be.
Needless to say, the United States does not dare to approach the friction waters until the conflict between China and the United States in the South China Sea in 2016 or this time the US aircraft carrier dares to approach the friction sea area. A resolution has occurred. After the basic arrangements were completed, the US-Japan-Australia quasi-aircraft carriers went to the South China Sea to "support" the Philippines. This behavior could explain the attitude of the United States.

Objectively speaking, since the fierce confrontation between China and the United States in recent years, the United States has turned to the second island chain and turned to Japan as a pawn. The problem is that no matter how powerful the "Izumo" is, it is only a moving target for China, which already has 3 aircraft carriers and 8075 ships. Japan clearly does not have the ability to rely on maritime power as a "supporter" of the Philippines to deter China.
In this sense, the U.S. strategy of relying on arming Asia-Pacific allies such as Japan and South Korea to contain China is doomed to failure. The logic is simple, China is not Russia, Asia is not Europe. Such a pawn as Japan placed on the Sino-American chessboard, obviously cannot control the situation and cannot belong to China.
