Sri Lanka's only private low-cost carrier, FitsAir, was named Asia's most punctual airline in July 2023.
The low-cost carrier has earned a reputation for maintaining 100% on-time arrival performance across its international network, with the company operating 142 on-time flights in July.

FitsAir launched its international passenger service in October 2022 with a mission to provide affordable and convenient air travel options for everyone. Since then, the airline's demand for services has increased significantly, mainly due to the airline's focus on affordability and convenience.
FitsAir currently operates routes to Chennai, Dubai and the Maldives and intends to further expand its route range by including more destinations.
