Recently, a scientific expedition team jointly established by Chang'an University and the Institute of Earth Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences carried out scientific investigations in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Basin to provide scientific data support for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
This scientific expedition involves ecology, hydrology, geology and geomorphology, disasters, transportation, cultural tourism and other disciplines, and is attended by experts in multidisciplinary fields, and mutual cooperation and in-depth cooperation are carried out.

Li Zhenhong, Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Loess Science: We use modern observation technology, equipment and methods to obtain background data of ecological and geological environment, economic and social background data, and cultural background data of the Yellow River Basin in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Basin. We will systematically analyze the current situation of the entire Yellow River Basin, focus on key areas, and further condense the major scientific issues facing ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
