Mount Emei is famous for its unique geographical landforms, beautiful natural scenery, rich animal and plant resources, since ancient times has the reputation of "Gaoling Five Mountains" and "Xiujia Tianxia", and the great poet Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty has left behind the ancient song of "Shu Kingdom Many Immortal Mountains, Emei Is Difficult to Match". With the different altitudes of mountainous areas, they show different climatic characteristics, known as the metaphor of "a mountain has four seasons and ten miles of different days". The mountainous area is rich in products, with nearly 5,000 species of plants and more than 3,200 kinds of animals, including precious Chinese medicinal materials, such as Sichuan Huanglian, Chuanmutong, Sichuan Cow's Knee, etc.; there are national second-level key protected plants such as light leaf tung; there are world-famous ornamental butterflies, such as dead leaf butterflies, Emei green butterfly, Emei big lane butterfly, golden-banded beaked phoenix butterfly, etc.; there is a national second-level protected animal Tibetan chieftain monkey, so it has the reputation of "animal and plant kingdom". Emei Peak, commonly known as the "Golden Peak", has the world's most magnificent natural observation deck, which can observe the six wonders of the Sea of Clouds, sunrise, Buddha light, holy lamp, Golden Temple and Golden Buddha. In recent years, tourists have taken pleasure in feeding monkeys and playing monkeys, and formed a friendly atmosphere of Emei Mountain monkeys not to be alarmed, close to people, and happy with people, which has become a living landscape of Mount Emei.

Buddhist culture: The eldest son of the Buddha is Puxian, the leader of the mountain, Emei

Gu Youyun "The eldest son of the Buddha is Puxian, and the leader of the mountain is Emei". Mount Emei is one of the four famous mountains of Chinese Buddhism, and has been the dojo of Puxian Bodhisattva since ancient times, with profound Buddhahood. According to historical records, Buddhism was introduced to Emei in the early Jin Dynasty, and then spread rapidly, in the Tang, Song, Ming dynasties developed the fastest, monks, temples, in its heyday, there are more than 100 temples in the mountain, 28 that have been preserved so far, the more famous ones are Baoguo Temple, Fuhu Temple, Wannian Temple, etc., the whole mountain temples are Zen Buddhism, of which the Linji Sect is the majority, the disciples of the Cao Dong Sect are secondary, and the Yang Sect only has Guan Xin Po Yi Nunnery (now his own people go to the temple to abolish), a total of three sects and eleven rooms. The long and profound history of Buddhism has also left countless "treasures" for Emei, including magnificent Buddhist buildings, such as the Beamless Hall of Wannian Temple, the Three Halls of Gold, Silver and Copper with Golden Roofs; precious Buddhist treasures, such as the Three Treasures of Buddhism (Buddha's Teeth, Baye Sutra, and Imperial Seal) of Wannian Temple, the Ebony Thousand Hands Guanyin of the Great Buddha Zen Temple, and the 12.5-ton bronze bell of Shengji Temple; unique Buddhist sculptures, such as the statue of Shifang Puxian; and the poems sung and sung with famous monks, such as Li Bai's "Listening to Shu Monks Playing the Piano", Huang Tingjian's "Seven Buddhas", Buddhist music, etc. In recent years, in order to inherit and protect Buddhist culture, all major monasteries in Emei have held Buddhist study festivals to teach and recite the Buddha to the vast number of believers and tourists, such as bathing Dharma festivals, chanting festivals, passing on vows, and blessing ceremonies.

Taoist culture: Taoism was introduced to Emei for thousands of years

Mount Emei was originally a famous Taoist mountain, and in Taoism it belongs to the list of "Dongtian Blessed Land". The Taoist work "Baopuzi" records that "the Yellow Emperor asked the naïve emperor at Mount Emei", Taoism also calls Mount Emei "the mountain of the emperor", "the seventh cave heaven", "the heaven of the spirit of the void cave", and Song Taizong also gave the Emei Mountain couplet: "The land of the naïve emperor on the Tao", according to which it can be seen that Taoism has a history of thousands of years. The Taoist book divides the famous mountains of the world into ten cave heavens, thirty-six cave days and seventy-two blessed lands, and Mount Emei ranks seventh among the thirty-six cave days, named "Void Spirit Cave Heaven", in the "Thousand People Cave" of the Pure Yang Hall, that is, the site of the cave house of the seventh cave heaven, on the mountainside outside the Hongchunping Temple, there is still a wooden square, and the four words "The First Step of the Cave Heaven" are written on it, which means that mortals enter the mountain and begin to enter the seventh cave heaven. As early as the Eastern Han Dynasty, Mount Emei has many Taoist palaces, the Tang and Song Dynasties developed the most prosperous, to the Ming Dynasty began to decline, to this day the mountain still retains many Taoist place names, such as Tianzhu Peak, Jade Emperor Ping, Zhenren Peak, Jade Toad Cave, Three Immortals Cave, Yuxian Cave, Lei Dong Ping, etc., and the Taoist Palace View, there are still located in the north of Emei City 5 miles, built in the Song Dynasty Fei Lai Hall is well preserved.
