#Claude 2#ChatGPT has encountered another rival, and Anthropic recently announced that it has released its latest large-language model, Claude 2.
Claude was built by Anthropic, a company founded by former OpenAI employees. Two months after ChatGPT's launch, the company quickly developed Claude, which can complete tasks such as summarizing abstracts, searching, assisting with creation, Q&A, coding, and more.
Now that Claude AI has received a major version update, Claude2 is considered the biggest competitor to GPT-4. The training data for Claude 2 includes data updated in 2022 and early 2023. This means that it is aware of recent events. It is worth mentioning that Claude 2 supports Chinese, but does not yet have multimodal capabilities such as image generation.
Claude 2's processing power has been boosted to 100K tokens, which means it can handle hundreds of pages of technical documentation or even entire books. In large language models, a token refers to the smallest unit of text. Generally, a token can be a word, a punctuation mark, a number, a symbol, etc.
Anthropic has now launched a beta beta website claude.ai for regular users in the US and UK to sign up.
