Blizzard recently promised that the World of Warcraft Nostalgia's currently criticized PvP ranking system will be improved in an upcoming update to make the system "healthier."

Currently in the World of Warcraft nostalgia, the game directly remasters the original PvP ranking system used between 2004 and 2006 1:1. Players who want to move up the rankings are competing more against players from their own faction than against other factions. The game's top ranking is reserved only for PvP high-intensity liver blasters, who lose weeks or even months of progress and may be demoted if they don't brush honor missions for a day or a week.

This system is very "liver-hurting", requiring players to play at least a dozen hours a day for months in a row to reach the highest ranking. These higher ratings unlock unique titles and allow them to buy some of the best gear in the game.

According to Blizzard developers, this is not a "healthy" system. Blizzard also outlined the improvements made in the nostalgic test suit, saying that the team wanted to remove the pressure to constantly brush honor points and eliminate the need for players to be forced to use the strongest outfits and collude with each other to brush the highest level. , and reducing the use of bots to increase the total number of players, thereby expanding the ranking.

Blizzard says the old code of the original PvP honor system is error-prone and is looking to rebuild the system with a more modern solution.

Blizzard will also completely eliminate the need for other players in the same camp to compete. The new system no longer requires players to compete for rankings, but instead requires players to reach certain Honor Point milestones to level up, and higher levels require more Honor Points. At the same time, players no longer have to fear that a break will result in lost progress: at least not demoted.

Players will also receive real-time progress updates, eliminating the need to wait for weekly server resets to see how many Honor Points and rankings they have earned.

Currently on PTR, it takes players 8 weeks to reach the highest PvP level. It's still very livery, but it's much better than before. The system will reportedly also be improved, with the official rollout coming in version 1.14.4.
