From Gao'an Road, follow the Zhaojiabang Road Greenway and head west. After crossing the Remember Bridge, it is not far from the Heavenly Key Bridge. The key to heaven , the "key to opening the door to heaven " , has a beautiful story. For example, today, the key bridge has been lined with commercial buildings and pedestrians. In the 1960s, some hungry food stalls ate a bowl of oiled tofu noodle soup, which was like heaven. At that time, the gate (head gate) of Xuhui Middle School was located on Caoxi North Road, south of Xuzhen Old Street, and the gate faced east. Now a famous Oriental Commercial Building, Xuzhen Old Street has also become a wide and busy Hongqiao Road, leading to Hongqiao International Airport.
Walking into the gate of Xuhui Middle School, there is a long stretch of bullet road. Tranquility leads to a loud classroom. The branches on both sides are swaying, and the birds chirp and cicadas are chirping. Walk westward to the second gate. I looked curiously at the long row of corridors with beautiful glass roofs and thought: Is this the school, or the way to heaven? Stepping on the steps, stepping into an old house, I realized that there were classrooms, libraries, physical and chemical laboratories, large auditoriums, small auditoriums... This house is the Chongsi Building that witnessed the century-old history, and later became my learning paradise.
The Cultural Revolution ended and the college entrance examination resumed. The spring of science is coming, and the gates of heaven are unfolding. But for a person who only read the third grade of primary school and began the Cultural Revolution to suspend classes, it is not easy to get the key to heaven!
Xuhui Middle School, the first school in Shanghai, has educated countless people and produced famous talents. Mr. Zhu Qizeng, who is highly respected, has a good reputation for his mathematics class. I was very fortunate to be able to attend his evening cram classes. On his desk, there were one or two blank sheets of paper, surrounded by three or four students. Whether it's geometry or triangles, draw while explaining. He said that this paper was the blackboard, and every time the tuition was over, he had to take these "blackboards" home for me. At that time, there was no high school return class, and Teacher Zhu volunteered to make up for it, and did not take anything. He even used his meal ticket to buy meals for students who had not eaten dinner, lest the students' hunger would affect their lectures! And the only reward he asked for was for us to learn every knowledge point well, enter the university, and serve the motherland. This is an old teacher who teaches and educates people in Xuhui Middle School, simple and selfless.
Physics class Mr. Fu Xinyong was unforgettable. His young, thin face was framed by a pair of glasses. I remember that when I listened to a lecture on energy, the concept of kinetic energy was still understandable, and there was no sense of potential energy. He opened the way, did he see the beams in the house? I leaned back, half stunned, still seeing only the height, not feeling the potential energy. In 1978, the college entrance examination finally won the key to heaven, which is attributed to Xuhui Middle School, and today it stands in front of the new gate of Xuhui Middle School on Hongqiao Road, looking back on the past and feeling a thousand emotions.
