It's been a tumultuous summer transfer window for Chelsea and so far several high-paid signings have left the club. Chelsea have spent a whopping £323 million to sign players they have lost in this window, with more expected to leave in the coming weeks. We've put together the amazing eleven players Chelsea have sold this summer as Pochettino looks to rebuild the squad from scratch.

Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy

Having just wrapped up a poor 2022-23 season, it's easy to forget how well Mendy was at his peak. He was signed in September 2020 for £22 million. He played a crucial role in winning the UEFA Champions League for Chelsea in his debut season and even won the FIFA Best Goalkeeper award that year for his efforts. He is now paid a whopping £9.4 million a year with Al Ahli.

Right-back: Dirong Sterling

When Dejong Sterling made his debut at Chelsea in 2017, it was thought he would be a top player. He has been loaned out of the club four times and now, the 23-year-old wears the Rangers shirt and still has a bright future in the game.

Central defender: Cesar Azpilicueta

After 11 years at the club, Cesar Azpilicueta finally quit Stamford Bridge. In his best form, the Spanish defender is one of the best and the club will surely miss his presence. The 33-year-old spent just £7 million on Chelsea in 2012. With his move to Atletico Madrid, it's fair to say that Chelsea's money is well spent.

Central defender: Kalidu Koulibaly

After signing for around £33m last summer, he came with big expectations. The only good thing is that Chelsea managed to recover £20 million when they sold him to Al Hilal.

Left-back: Baba Rahman

The Ghanaian full-back played just 23 times at Stamford Bridge for eight years. In retrospect, he wasn't cheap either, spending the club a whopping £22 million in transfer fees in 2015. Like many other Chelsea stars over the years, he spent most of his time at the club on loan. He played for five different clubs during eight loan spells and is now permanently joined PAOK.

Back: Timoe Bakayoko

The French midfielder was part of Monaco's iconic 2016-17 season, which also features the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Joao Moutinho. Unfortunately for Bakayoko, after leaving the club, his career did not take off like some of his Monaco team-mates. Chelsea spent £40million on the midfielder, but it quickly proved to be a mistake.

Back: Matteo Kovacic

After signing for around £38m, he quickly became a fan favourite. But this year the move went to Manchester City.

Back: Ngoro Kante

After arriving at Chelsea in 2016, he won many trophies and contributed a lot to the club. With fewer playing hours, he moved to Saudi Etihad this year.

Right midfielder: Christian Pulisic

In 2019, he joined Chelsea for a whopping £58 million, and now he is worth just £20m. The move to AC Milan is about to be finalized and Christian Pulisic hopes it will mark a new start in his career. After some frustrating years in London, this summer's exit could be the best option for all parties.

Left midfielder: Mason Mount

Following last season's poor performance, it's easy to forget how good Mount was at Chelsea. He is only five games away from the club's 200 appearances.

Forward: Kay Havertz

Chelsea fans will always be grateful for the goal in the Champions League final, but Kai Havertz ended up doing poorly at Stamford Bridge. In the end, the club recovered £65 million of the £71 million spent in 2020. He has now joined Arsenal.
