On July 7, in the operating room of Xijiashan Town Central Hospital in Jiang'an County, expert doctors from county-level medical institutions were performing a laparoscopic appendix surgery, which was also the first laparoscopic surgery carried out by Jiang'an County township-level hospital. In order to promote the improvement of the medical service capacity of towns and villages, Jiang'an County has vigorously promoted the construction of county medical and health sub-centers, planned to build 3 new county medical and health sub-centers, renovated and expanded 3 central health centers, and standardized the infrastructure construction of 8 general town health centers.
In April this year, the newly reconstructed Xijiashan Town Central Hospital was officially put into use and passed the acceptance of the county medical and health sub-center in Sichuan Province. The hospital covers an area of 35.3 acres, a construction scale of 21,770 square meters, 160 open beds, 20 clinical departments and medical technology departments such as surgery, rehabilitation medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine, etc., and is an established town central health center integrating the functions of medical treatment, emergency first aid, personnel training, technical guidance, public health demonstration and other functions in the county area.
While improving the hardware facilities of the primary medical sub-center, combined with the actual needs of the town health center, the county general hospital has established a support mechanism, and the expert group of county-level medical institutions will provide overall assistance to the county medical and health sub-center, so that the superior medical resources can sink, so that doctors can run more and the masses can run less errands. At the same time, the proportion of medical insurance reimbursement for the masses in township-level medical institutions is nearly 10 percentage points higher than that in county-level hospitals, which also saves a lot of medical expenses for the masses. "The doctors here told me that the people who came to operate on my nephew were all expert doctors from Jiang'an County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and the equipment was brand new, and we were also very relieved that we could see the disease well at our doorstep, which was very convenient." It is understood that the medical and health sub-center of Xijiashan Town Central Hospital has radiated nearly 160,000 people in surrounding townships including Xijiashan Town, Damiao Town, Hongqiao Town, Minmetals Town and Taoping Town of Changning County, opening up the last mile of primary medical services.
