Huangpu District, the smallest urban area in Shanghai, has scarce land resources, while construction and transportation, including highly dense population. How to break the problem of urban park construction in a land of land and gold?
At the press conference held today on the construction of the Shanghai Park City and the Ring City Ecological Park Belt, Hong Jiliang, deputy mayor of Huangpu District, introduced that in the past two years, Huangpu District has seized the "one river and one river", especially the Huangpu River shoreline including the Suzhou River shoreline through the upgrading, as well as the opportunity of the construction of some key projects, and tried every means to increase the coverage of the green area in the region through public green spaces, street gardens, pocket parks, three-dimensional greening, etc.
According to the data, from 2019 to 2020, huangpu district will add more than 30,000 square meters of new public green space and 28,000 square meters of public green space. In addition, more than 25,000 square meters of three-dimensional greenery have been added. "Through our continuous efforts, the overall green coverage rate of Huangpu is more than 19%." Hong Jiliang said.
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Huangpu District will further implement the relevant construction requirements of urban parks.
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, it is planned to add 100,000 square meters of public green space, 75,000 square meters of new three-dimensional green space, and 50,000 square meters of new public green space. Combined with the transformation of old districts, urban renewal and project construction, the focus will be on the hinterland of "one river and one river", including the old city box area, including the surrounding areas of Xintiandi and Jianguo Middle Road, and further implement these indicators.
At the same time, in the process of promotion, we will also adhere to the overall principle of "seeing the seam and inserting green, compound greening", and do everything possible to increase pocket parks, street green spaces, and three-dimensional greening.
Recently, Huangpu District has been comprehensively sorted out, and more than 20 street gardens will be built during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and a number of pocket parks with an area of 300 to 500 square meters will be promoted to make these green spaces closer to the daily life of the people and closer to our community.
