In the early morning of June 30, Beijing time, according to the famous journalist Romano, Manchester United has reached an agreement with Chelsea on the transfer of England international Mason Mount, and his transfer fee is a total of 60 million pounds. Romano also said United and Mason Mount had agreed on individual terms three weeks ago and now the two clubs had also agreed on a transfer.

While it has previously been reported that Chelsea have retargeted Brighton's Kecedo due to repeated rejections of Manchester United's offers, Romano says United have never given up on signing Mason Mount and that the Chelsea midfield has been United's primary target in this summer's transfer window. It has been previously reported that Bayern also want to sign Mason Mount, but Romano says only Manchester United are interested in Mount.

Romano revealed that Mount has a fixed transfer fee of £55m, with a floating fee of £5 million, which can reach a maximum of £60 million. Mount will undergo a medical examination by Manchester United after the end of this week, after which he will sign a five-year contract until 2028.

Born in 1999, Mount is just 24 years old and made his debut in the Chelsea Academy and spent time on loan at Vitesse and Derby. In July 2019, Mount was promoted to Chelsea's first team. Mount has played 195 games for Chelsea, scoring 33 goals and assisting 37 times.

At Chelsea, Mount has won the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup once. Chelsea's overall poor performance last season also affected Mason Mount's form, scoring just three goals and assisting twice in 24 Premier League appearances, making 35 appearances in all competitions.

The summer transfer window has yet to open and Chelsea have already sold a number of players, including goalkeeper Mendy, defender Coulibaly, winger Hakim Ziyech, Loftus Loftus Cheek and others.
