This morning (June 29), the press conference of the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference was held in Shanghai, and the reporter learned from the meeting that the conference will be held in the Shanghai World Expo Center and the World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from July 6 to 8, and set up branch venues in Pudong Zhangjiang and Xuhui West Bank, and simultaneously carry out concurrent activities in Minhang and other industrial agglomeration areas.
Compared with previous conferences, this year's conference has more than 400 exhibitors, more than 50 outstanding start-ups, and more than 30 new products have been launched for the first time, and the number of exhibitors and exhibition area have reached the highest ever.
According to the reporter, Xuhui has participated in hosting the World Artificial Intelligence Conference for five consecutive years, as the organizer, at this year's conference, Xuhui will combine its own industrial characteristics and advantages, focus on the field of large model, AIGC (generative artificial intelligence), and create more than 10 heavy conference forums.
"In 2018, Xu hosted the first World Artificial Intelligence Conference, becoming the first artificial intelligence development cluster area in Shanghai. In 2019, it was selected as the first batch of strategic emerging industrial clusters in China. At the press conference, Yu Linwei, deputy mayor of Xuhui District, said that after years of development, Xuhui artificial intelligence industry has a scale of nearly 100 billion, around the technological change of large models, Xuhui District has planted fertile soil for industrial development, and actively serves the top R & D team.
At present, Xuhui District has a total of nearly 200 related enterprises, including more than 30 core enterprises, including Internet manufacturers, AI companies, ecological chain scene companies and other diversified participants, and 2 unicorns in the field of generative artificial intelligence have been born since 2022. It has brought together large model enterprises and institutions such as Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Lab, Zhizhi Research Institute, SenseTime, Minimax, and Wuwen Core Dome, and has entered the test or open source many large models such as the world's largest parametric visual model "Shusheng 2.0", the 100-billion-level parametric language model "SenseChat" and "InternLM", and the multimodal model "Shusheng 2.5".
In the face of a new round of artificial intelligence development opportunities, Xuhui District will comprehensively lay out large models and AIGC (generative artificial intelligence) with the vision and responsibility of business partners, especially general large models, vertical large models, large model applications, etc., to help leading enterprises grow, guide thousands of industries to deepen changes and improve energy levels.
