Since the Portuguese government announced the closure of the Portuguese Golden Visa program on February 16 this year, Portugal's immigration policy has been repeatedly discussed and contested. But when others think this is a risk, Global Abroad believes that this is a good time to enter the market.

On June 20, the Portuguese government submitted another proposal to shut down only the property and deposit model, while five other migration modalities continued, including 2 models for job creation, scientific research, cultural heritage and funds.

At the same time, Portugal has several other visa types that have not been affected by the coup, including the non-profit D7 model and the remote work permit model. We believe that Portugal, with its friendly citizenship model and the charm of established developed European countries, remains highly attractive to HNWIs and professionals.

That's why Global Abroad is constantly looking for talented people to cultivate the Portuguese market and assemble a team of professional consultants and receptionists. With his many years of experience and good reputation in the industry, Mr. Francisco has won the position of General Manager of a Portuguese company.

Mr. Francisco graduated in Business Administration in Universidade Católica Portugues in 2009 and began his career as a financial analyst in Corporate Finance and M&A.

In 2010, he moved to Domusvenda, Portugal's largest asset management and investment services company, working with international banks including Credit Suisse, Apollo, Jupiter Finance and major Portuguese banks, where he was responsible for up to €5 billion in asset management.

In 2015, Mr. Francisco was invited by a family office to oversee the lending and real estate investment areas of the office, where he successfully helped the family office's €300 million assets to generate 30% of the investment report.

In 2021, he joined Monarque Funds as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer, successfully managing two private equity funds and attracting more than €100 million in investments, both of which meet the requirements of the fund investment model set by the Portuguese Immigration Service.

After 18 months, he entered the real estate sector, helping PG Group manage and develop several real estate projects that met the criteria for the Golden Visa application required by the Portuguese government, including 4 hotels with more than 450 rooms.

Mr. Fancisco said: "My resume and the expectations of a Portuguese company from Global Abroad are a perfect match and we are both very confident in developing the local market. Global Abroad's immigration program in more than 40 countries around the world and my contacts and resources in Portugal for many years will surely make the Portuguese company an important milestone in the history of Global Abroad. ”
