Currently, Inter Milan is coached by Simone Inzaghi and captained by Samir Handanovic. Since its founding in 1908, Inter Milan has worn a striped shirt in black and blue. In 2008, Inter designed a red cross on the away shirt to celebrate the club's centennial, symbolizing the city of Milan.

Inter Milan's home stadium is the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium (aka San Siro Stadium), which is shared with city side AC Milan. The team's most recognizable fan base gathered in the Curva Nord at the Meazza Stadium, which became the famous Inter dead fan stand, pulling up banners, waving flags and shouting slogans to cheer the team.

In terms of team management, Inter Milan has experienced several equity transfers. In October 2013, the Indonesian consortium signed a takeover agreement with the club to acquire 70% of Inter's shares for US$480 million, Tohir became the new head of Inter Milan, and the original owner Moratti still retained 30% of the shares. In June 2016, Suning Group acquired 68.55% of Inter Milan's equity from an Indonesian consortium and Moratti with a total investment of 270 million euros, making Suning Group the largest shareholder of Inter. In October 2018, Zhang Kangyang became the new president of Inter Milan.

In May 2021, Inter borrowed US$336 million from US investment firm Oaktree Capital to compensate for the club's loss of revenue during the pandemic. In June 2021, Simeone Inzaghi became the team's new head coach. During the 2021 summer transfer window, Inter sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for €115 million, a price that also set a record for Serie A player transfer fees.

In the 2022-2023 season, Inter's main squad is the 3/5/2 team, with goalkeeper Onana, the back line consisting of Darmian, Archerby and Bastoni, the midfield consisting of Barrera, Brozovic, Çalhanoğlu, Dumfries and Di Marco, and the strikers by Lautaro and Dzeko. This squad is relatively solid defensively and tactically literate, and if Inter select a few good players from the transfer market this summer, Inter will be even more perfect.
