Chapter Nine, Desert North Feihong

Section 2 Summary

Mobei Feihong Seeker, Celestial Master.

Pudu sentient beings are looking for a home, and the great awakening is exquisite.

In the previous episode, it was mentioned that the Yongfeng Machine Paper Copying Factory was opened, and the grand event was unprecedented. The post-production benefits are good, but the output does not meet the design requirements. The Japanese technician said that it was normal, and Tian Yuting did not believe that he asked the technician from other places to see that several machines were "refurbished from the old" goods, and it was obvious that the Japanese Prince Company was suspected of being bullied. Hua Zhihong asked Tian Yuting to negotiate with Japan. In 1920, Tian Yuting went to Shanghai to prepare for the east to cross to Japan, but he fell ill and died. When the news came, everyone did not believe it, hua Zhihong was sad, and his heart was even more confused, could it be related to the Japanese? However, there is no evidence, and I am ready to ask the Shanghai Detective Institute to verify. But bigger things followed, on November 4, the "People, Nine" incident occurred in Guiyang, and the Military Valves of the Xingyi Clan in Guizhou, represented by Liu Xianshi, were divided into two factions, the old and the new, and Liu Xianshi was the old faction. The new faction was headed by Wang Wenhua, the commander-in-chief of the Qian Army (Wang was Liu Xianshi's nephew), Wang Wenhua instructed his subordinates He Yingqin, and Sun Jianfeng, in the name of "Qing Junfang", led the army to kill Liu Xianshi's left and right arms Guo Chongguang and Xiong Fanhe. Liu Xianshi fled to Yunnan. Wang Wenhua did the accusations, and Wang avoided suspicion and avoided Going to Shanghai. He did not want to be sent by his general Yuan Zuming to Shanghai to assassinate Wang Wenhua. For a time, the political situation in Guizhou was chaotic. At this time, the elderly and gentry of Guizhou publicly recommended in the newspaper that two people came forward to stabilize the political situation as acting governor, one was Hua Zhihong and the other was Ren Kecheng. Yantang Kanhua Mansion was lively for a while, and people kept coming to the door as lobbyists. However, people found that Hua Zhihong had left Guiyang. (Ren Kecheng was later elected acting governor, and half a year later he was replaced by another general of the Qian army, Lu Tao, who fled to Beijing.) )

After Hua Zhihong withdrew from the political arena in Guizhou, he was determined not to meddle in political affairs anymore, so when he heard the argument that he wanted to invite him out of the mountain, he took the method of evasion and went to Mount Emei with his wife Long Yu'er. Why go to Mount Emei? There is a hidden affair. In addition to having a son, Mr. and Mrs. Hua Wentu also have a daughter. Long Yu'er believed in Buddhism, and Hua Zhihong also began to believe in Buddhism after he withdrew from politics. When her daughter was more than ten years old, Long Yu'er went to Mount Emei to worship the Buddha and brought her daughter with her. There is a nunnery in Mount Emei called "Qingyin Pavilion", and Long Yu'er always goes there to worship Guanyin, who knows that her daughter will not leave when she arrives at the nunnery. The abbot of the nunnery said that he was related to the Buddha, and persuaded Long Yu'er to leave her daughter in the "Qingyin Pavilion" to practice, but Long Yu'er had to agree. In the past few years, Long Yu'er wanted her daughter to get sick, and took this opportunity for Hua Zhihong and Long Yu'er to visit her daughter in Mount Emei.

Arriving at the Qingyin Pavilion of Mount Emei, a young host ushered in. When I asked, I learned that the old abbot had taken Hua Zhihong's daughter yun to travel around, Hua Zhihong was depressed, and only got his daughter to look at the meditation room, only to see the word "Da Qian" in the door book, which provided a monk portrait, like a western region, written under the qianwen, at that time I did not know who it was. Two months later, Hua Zhihong and his wife returned to Guiyang, and Long Yu'er became seriously ill. He died in the spring of 1921. The husband and wife have a deep affection, hua Zhihong is difficult to accept for a while, and he worships the Buddha at home and refuses to accept the guests. In 1922, Hua Zhihong decided to build a private Buddhist courtyard, named "Da Qian Jing She", and the word "Da Qian" came from the Qing Yin Pavilion. Located higher in the east of the city, the jingshe covers an area of 15 acres, and the center has a five-story Buddhist pavilion imitating the Emei Mountain Stupa, with a height of 30 meters. It took seven or eight years before the "Great House" was repaired before it was completed.

Around the autumn of 1923, the housekeeper of the Hua family came to Hua Wenqu and said, "The old man left early in the morning." Hua Wenqu sent people to pursue fruitlessly, and there was a note on the study table with the words "Taal Temple" written on it. Hua Wenqu knew that the Taal Temple was in Qinghai, and he did not know why his father wanted to go to Qinghai. It is said that Hua Zhihong left home alone, and two months later, after passing through the Yumen Gate, Anxi had reached the boundary of Qinghai. The pale yellow desert turned into a gray-black Gobi and was sparsely populated. After a few days of walking, I saw a thousand feet standing on the front wall, as if it were straight into the clouds. At this time, heavy snow rose, turned to the bottom of the mountain, and looked at the gap between the mountains, the red tiles were hidden, and gradually the bells sounded. Hua Zhihong felt the cool air and simple noodles, and the ethereal spirit in his heart was infinite. I went up the mountain, but I saw a temple with red roofs and yellow walls, and the scenery was wonderful and indescribable. At this time, the sky was getting late, the moonlight was cold, but when he saw the snowflakes flying, an old lama dressed in white had his sleeves fluttering, stepping on the snow, barefoot really like a god and a man, Hua Zhihong was stunned. Only to see the lama walk up to Hua Zhihong, give a Buddhist message, and did not answer, pointing to the front door of the temple and walking forward. Hua Zhihong had to stride to keep up with the horses, only to see the temple majestic, and the plaque on the gate read "Taal Temple".

When he entered the door, the lama took Hua Zhihong's hand and turned left and right to a hall, where more than a hundred butter lamps reflected the light of day in the lobby. In the middle, dozens of lamas sat on the ground and chanted. The old monk walked up to the stage and sat up, chanting the sutra in his mouth. Hua Zhihong couldn't help but sit down cross-legged and chant the sutra. In the confusion, he fell asleep. When I woke up, it was noon. Yesterday, when the old monk came in, Hua Zhihong blurted out, "Heavenly Dawn Master!" "I couldn't see clearly last night, but when I saw it today, it was the master enshrined in the Zen room of the daughter of the Qingyin Pavilion in Mount Emei, who translated it as "Master Tianxi", who was a monk of the Tendai Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Master Tianxi smiled and said, "Last night I knew that it was Hua Jushi, and a few years ago, the teacher tai of mount Emei who was in the same door as me brought a disciple with the surname of Hua to the temple, and I didn't want the teacher to die too many years ago." The female disciple surnamed Hua had already shaved her head at the temple and returned to Emei. Before leaving, he said, "The lay father is going to come to the Taal Monastery to look for me, and ask the master to teach him the scriptures, so as not to waste my father and daughter." Hua Zhihong listened to the tears like rain, and suddenly felt empty in his heart. Since then, he has stayed in the temple to listen to the teachings of the Celestial Dawn.

One day, Tianxi asked Hua Zhihong, "I see that Hua Jushi has something in mind, what is it?" Hua Zhihong said: "Central Plains Buddhism pursues Mahayana and purifies all sentient beings. Tibetan Buddhism practices Hinayana and pays attention to individual practice to become a Buddha before reaching the Western world of Bliss. I have married and had children, and I cannot cultivate the right results, so I am puzzled. Tianxi said, "The original meaning of the Buddha is goodness, as long as you have a heavenly life in your heart, you become a Buddha, the Buddha's language still has clouds, put down the butcher's knife, and become a Buddha on the ground." Who cannot become a Buddha? Hua Zhihong consciously confined himself to the worldly views, immersed himself in it, and understood it.

One day and night, the sound of the wind was loud, like rolling thunder, like a human voice, and listening to the sound of water. For a while, the Taal Monastery was in flames, and the lamas in the temple fled in all directions. Only wooden frames remained in the temple rooms, and half of the monks in the temple were burned to death. Only Hua Zhihong was seen holding a person in his hand and throwing it in front of the temple gate. When the monks saw that this monk's name was Bayan, he was an emissary sent by the Tibetan Living Buddha to the Taal Monastery to convey the Buddha's will, saying that Qinghai was too far away from Tibet, and asked Tianxi to move the Taal Monastery to Tibet. Of course, the monks of the Taal Monastery did not comply, so this Bayan and the lamas who came with them set fire to the Taal Monastery at night and burned the Taal Monastery. When Hua Zhihong saw someone setting fire to it, he fought with it and used his palm to grab his chin. It turned out that the living Buddha was rampant in Tibet, and Tianxi could not see it and went to Qinghai to expand the Taal Monastery, and the living Buddha was not willing to make this decision. Tianxi said to Bayan, "Please return to the Living Buddha, Tianxi cannot be ordered to enter Tibet, the Taal Monastery is also burned, and the Living Buddha does not have to worry." Hua Zhihong said to Master Tianxi, "It is not appropriate to stay here for a long time, and if you do not enter Tibet, qinghai will not be able to stay." If the Master does not give up, please move to the place outside of Guizhou, where Zhihong can listen to the teachings day and night, and the Master can also promote the Dharma. Master Tianxi listened, sighed and said, "There is a Resident Ofohua." ”

At the beginning of 1926, Tianxi took more than ten monks and returned to Guiyang with Hua Zhihong, all the way to hard work. Nearly evening on this day, the Huazhihong Horse Team arrived at the Yonglong Yuyan No. 2 Store on Yanwu Street in Guiyang, and saw dozens of bodyguards standing outside the gate, and the bodyguards saw more than a dozen monks coming and rushing into the interior to make a report. After a while, Hua Asked the Canal came out, and saw that his father was very surprised and busy kneeling, and for two years he did not know that his father had indulged in it, and today he suddenly came. Entering and sitting down, Hua Zhihong asked, "Why is the security so tight?" Hua Wenqu said: "After his father left, Liu Xianshi, who fled to Yunnan, instigated Tang Jiyao to send troops to Guizhou to fight Yuan Zuming (before Yuan Zuming led the "Dingqian Army" to drive Lu Tao down as governor), Tang Jiyao sent his brother Tang Jiyu to bring troops into Qian to drive Yuan Zuming away, and Tang Jiyu made himself the governor of Guizhou. The Beiyang government did not recognize it and ordered Tang Jiyu to retire. Tang Jiyu insisted on staying for more than a year, and under the pretext that the Dian army maintained order in Guizhou, he used 1 million oceans and asked all walks of life in Guizhou to pool money for him before retiring. All walks of life in Guizhou have been deliberating for many days, and no one has raised money, and now the stalemate cannot be reached, so everywhere is on guard, afraid of the robbery of the Dian army. Hua Zhihong listened, knowing that Liu Xianshi was in Guiyang, so he went to the provincial government overnight to find Liu Xianshi, and Master Tianxi expressed his willingness to accompany him, and the two of them went to the provincial government.

Liu Xianshi was greatly surprised to hear that Hua Zhihong had asked to see him, because he heard that Hua Zhihong had disappeared and was busy inviting him into the living room. Liu Xianshi saw that he was accompanied by a monk with a majestic appearance, and when he asked if he was a tibetan monk, his heart was a little empty. Hua Zhihong opened his mouth and said, "Guizhou has been in turmoil for a long time, you know it." Please tell Governor Tang Jiyu that one million is afraid that I will not be able to come up with it for a while, and six hundred thousand I can guarantee that I will be able to make up enough within a week. Liu Xianshi shen yin said slowly for a while: "Brother Hua came forward, brother should talk to Governor Tang, and tomorrow he should reply." The next day Liu Xianshi replied to Hua Zhihong that he would take 600,000 oceans in a week, and Tang Jiyu withdrew. People from all walks of life in Guiyang heard that Hua Zhihong had returned and had negotiated with Liu Xianshi. So concentrated in the General Chamber of Commerce, Hua Zhihong donated 300,000 yuan, the rest of the large households, rich households pledged to donate a total of 300,000, a total of 600,000 oceans to Tang Jiyu. A week later, Tang Jiyu and Liu Xianshi withdrew their troops back to Yunnan. The people of Guiyang City rushed to tell each other that Hua Zhihong had saved the people of the city, and liu Xianshi was frightened when he saw Master Tianxi's legs, and so on. Hua Zhihong asked the Wentong Bookstore to print tens of thousands of "Fa Statues" of Master Tianxi and distribute them throughout the city. For a time, the Celestial Master was revered as a god. Since then, in guiyang city, adults and children have all bowed down when they see Master Tianxi, just like the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama in Tibet.

1, Dajue Jingshe: Dajue Jingshe was built in 1923, about 1930 all built, how much it cost is not recorded. Before the liberation, the five-story Buddhist pavilion was requisitioned by the provincial government as a radio tower, so the alley in front of the gate was called Radio Street. After the liberation, the Municipal Education Bureau was stationed here and is now managed by the WenchangGe Management Committee.

2, Wen Zhonghua Zhihong's daughter: that is, the sister of Hua Wenqu, the Hua family is called "Master Grandpa", and she is a nun at a young age, so there is no common family name. Zeng Yun traveled to Mount Emei, then returned to Guiyang, and used the dowry fee in his name to expand the Qianming Temple (the current seat of the Municipal Buddhist Association, on the left side of the Chaoyang Bridge). As an abbot, he believes in the Tibetan Tendai Sect. He died around 1960.

3, whether Hua Zhihong went to Qinghai to invite "Tianxi Master", the introduction in the Dajue Jingsha said that Tianxi Yun traveled to Guizhou, Hua Zhihong hired, this said reluctantly. The story of Hua Zhihong's arrival at Qinghai Qing Tianxi was not only circulated in the Hua family, but also in Guiyang City before liberation. Therefore, Hua Zhihong's arrival in Qinghai is more credible.
