Livestream Bar October 8 , French Football announces a shortlist for this year's Best Young Player of the Year (Kopa Award), which is used to reward the best performing young player under the age of 21.

The judges of the Kopa Awards will be successive Golden Globe winners. The award was named in honor of French football star Raymond Kopa, the winner of the 1958 Ballon d'Or and the first French player to receive the Award since the creation of the Ballon d'Or in 1956. Raymond Kopa died of illness in 2017, and French Football hopes to establish the Kopa Award to celebrate the potential new stars in football and continue to pass on the Kopa legend.
