It's official: Chelsea signed Biba goalkeeper Kopa for a record 80 million euro transfer fee

On August 9, Beijing time, Premier League giants Chelsea officially announced that the team officially signed Bilbao goalkeeper Kopa, and the Blues paid 80 million euros in liquidated damages to Bilbao, and the two sides signed a 7-year contract.

With the £80 million penalty triggered, Kopa also set a new record for value in football's goalkeeper position.

Born in 1994 as a goalkeeper in Spain, Kopa played 31 games for Biba as a starting goalkeeper last season, and this summer, Kopa was named to the Spain World Cup squad but failed to play.

After joining Chelsea, Kopa said: "It's a very important decision for me, my career and my personal life. There are many factors that drew me to this club, including the championships this club has won, the players here, the city and the Premier League. I'm delighted that Chelsea was able to trust me and bring me here. ”
