Yunnan Zhenyuan is located in the hinterland of Ailao Mountain and Wuliang Mountain, where Wuhua Tianbao, Mountain Xiongshui Beauty, Forest YouwuQi, Mountain Waterfall Flocks, Field Egrets Flying, Alpine Terraces Are Fascinating, river valleys and small dams are fragrant with rice flowers. The average annual temperature is 18.5 °C, the forest coverage rate is 72.6%, and the atmospheric negative oxygen ion concentration is as high as 20,000 / cubic centimeter, which is known as "Green Sea Golden Mountain" and "China's Natural Oxygen Bar".

The unique forest resources and climatic characteristics have bred the rich animal and plant resources in the Ailao Mountain National Nature Reserve in Yunnan, and it is also a "museum" that shows good natural ecosystems and rich biodiversity. In the early morning of August, walking into Zhenyuan Qianjia Village, the mountains and rivers are like a splashed ink painting, and the air between the green mountains and green waters is particularly fresh, making people feel as if they are in a fairyland, lingering.

In recent years, the Zhenyuan Management and Conservation Bureau of Ailao Mountain National Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province has started from the construction of patrol sites in the nature reserve, the allocation of scientific research equipment, and the strengthening of the construction of protection teams, improved its own protection and management level, and actively carried out a series of daily work such as forest fire prevention, patrol monitoring, and special actions for the protection of wild animals and plants, fundamentally protecting the forest ecosystem and the safety of wild animal and plant resources.

It is reported that 178 families, 663 genera and 1357 species of wild vascular plants have been recorded in the reserve; 8 orders, 28 families, 78 genera and 121 species of mammals; 18 orders, 58 families and 475 species of birds; 2 orders, 8 families, 20 genera and 46 species of amphibians; 3 orders, 12 families, 42 genera and 68 species of reptiles. Among them, there are 11 species of plants under national level I and II key protection, such as southern yew tree, water green tree, and Chinese eucalyptus; 17 species of rare and endangered mammals in the national I. and II. key protected species list include 17 species of western black-crowned gibbon, Indochinese gray langur, short-tailed monkey, and leopard cat; 43 species of birds under national level I. and II. key protection include white egrets and white-bellied golden pheasants; and 2 species of amphibians and reptiles under national level I. and II. key protection include pythons and erythrenic salamanders. There are more than 28,000 acres of wild ancient tea trees and 470703 wild tea trees with a chest diameter of more than 5 cm.
