The list of the top ten rising stars of artificial intelligence in 2022 has been announced, and nine of them are Chinese researchers. Interestingly, two are from the same class at USTC. Dr. Wang Zhangyang is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2012, he and Liu Tongliang are both from the Department of Electrical Engineering (0806 classmates), and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016, committed to efficient and reliable machine learning, and his research direction covers all aspects of machine learning theory to application.
