What is UnionPay's Low Carbon Plan?
In order to help achieve the national dual carbon goal and promote the development of green finance, UnionPay, as a national financial infrastructure, actively practices corporate social responsibility and launches the "Low Carbon Plan" application on the "CloudQuickPass" app, which has provided services to nearly 1 million users so far.
Through the scientific calculation and display of users' daily life such as daily travel, shopping and consumption, and providing rights and interests feedback, the carbon inclusive incentive is formed, and green payment is advocated and encouraged. After the user activates, the green transaction through UnionPay payment can obtain green energy in real time and accumulate carbon emission reduction.
At present, the "low-carbon plan" has covered 15 green scenarios such as bus and subway travel, bicycles, new energy charging, and living expenses, and will gradually extend to more scenarios.
