"Peach Blossom Wood in Peach Blossom An, Peach Blossom Fairy under Peach Blossom An." Peach blossom immortals plant peach trees, and then pick peach blossoms in exchange for wine money. The drunk only sits in front of the flower, and the drunk comes to sleep under the flower. Half drunk and half awake day after day, flowers fall and blossom year after year. This is a seven-character ancient poem created by Tang Yin.

Liu Jianghua, a farmer in the 4th group of Zhongtuo Village in Zhongduo Street, also wants to be a "peach blossom fairy". He planted a peach forest in his hometown, and also wanted to build a peach blossom-themed farm, combined with the traditional village of Daheba and the sightseeing peach forest, to do rural tourism, so that tourists can experience a leisurely life in the mountains.

Seize the opportunity to return to your hometown to start a business

Early summer, rain and rain. In Zhongtuo Village, Group 8, He Jiapo, the peach blossoms have long withered, replaced by peach leaves that have gradually flourished, and fruits that have just grown the size of bean grains.

The owner of this peach forest is Liu Jianghua.

Like most people, Liu Jianghua used to run around when he was young. He worked in agriculture, worked as a contractor, and contracted construction sites.

With the development of society, the agricultural and rural economy has become more and more important, Liu Jianghua feels that the opportunity of his "rural people" has come, and in 2015, he decided to return to his hometown to start a business.

In the second half of that year, he and two other fellow villagers cooperated to transfer 100 acres of land in Zhongtuo Village. At the time of reclamation, some farmers were worried that after the land was replanted with peach trees, it would be difficult to return to its original appearance, and they could not plant crops in the future, so they regretted it, which made Liu Jianghua and his partners very annoyed. Under the difficulties, the two partners withdrew their shares, and Liu Jianghua had to go it alone.

The circulation of mature soil was not successful, Liu Jianghua regenerated a plan, gave up the previous circulation of land, and transferred 8 groups of hejiapo barren mountains. Although the cost was doubled, the 100-acre peach forest base was finally built.

Strong management innovation approach

According to the reporter's observation, Liu Jianghua's peach forest is very different from the management of other places. His peach grove was overgrown with wild pea seedlings.

"It's called cursing grass with grass." It turned out that these wild pea seedlings were intentionally planted by Liu Jianghua. The barren slopes he reclaimed are typical karst landforms, belonging to rocky land, water and soil are easy to lose, the most drought-tolerant, so he uses pea seedlings to maintain water and soil. In addition, Liu Jianghua also has unique skills in artificial flower and fruit thinning. When he manually thins flowers and fruits, the long branches leave up to 3 fruits, while the short branches only leave 1 fruit, so that the purpose of this is to keep the crisp peach large and of good quality, and there will be no flowers and fruits at the front of the branch. Because after pruning in winter, new shoots will emerge from the front of the branch, and the new branches will be the branches that will bear fruit in the coming year.

"Ecological, green and organic are the future development directions of characteristic agriculture." Every year, Liu Jianghua uses artemisia annua, sake lees, bean wilt and other materials to make organic fertilizer, plus a small amount of organic compound fertilizer to fertilize the peach tree, which not only ensures the size of the crisp peach, but also ensures the quality of the crisp peach is delicious and pollution-free.

Expand the market "two lines" at the same time

For specialty agriculture, in general, sales are a bottleneck. Liu Jianghua's peach tree has been in production for 3 years, how did his sales channel open?

"Last year, it took only 7 days to sell all the fruit." In 2020, due to the humid and rainy climate in our county, the fruit trees on the flat land did not have a good harvest, but Liu Jianghua's peach forest planted on the hillside was unusual, not only the quality was not affected, but also the yield was not reduced. He used the e-commerce platform and the base to sell two models, and sold more than 15,000 kilograms of crisp peaches in a very short period of time.

Last year, Zhongtuo Village to "collective economy + company + professional cooperative + farmer" model to develop crisp peach 270 acres, Liu Jianghua occupies 10% of the shares, or the executive chairman of the collective economy, the 270 acres of peach forest and Liu Jianghua's own peach forest to be managed together, the area increased by nearly 3 times, the total output of the peak period will also increase exponentially, therefore, Liu Jianghua is actively consolidating and developing the e-commerce market, at the same time, strengthen contact with some old customers in the main city of Chongqing, online and offline, and strive not to let the crisp peach slowly sell in the future.

For future development, Liu Jianghua plans to manage two peach forests, and then rely on the traditional village of Daheba to create a peach blossom-themed farm, integrating "travel, shopping, entertainment, eating and living", so that tourists can experience the day of leisure and immortality in the mountains, so as to make rural tourism bigger and stronger.
