Yaowang inherits the story of Sun Simiao: The medicine king Sun Simiao learns good medical skills and is more importantly long-lived

author:Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine Liu An

Yaowang Inheritance: Sun Simiao is a true person with good learning, high medical skills, and more importantly, longevity!

Divine doctor Sun Simiao, it is estimated that everyone knows, this is a legendary figure, lived for 142 years, surprisingly. In addition to living a long life, Sun Simiao's medical skills are also very superb, and he is respected as the "medicine king" by everyone.

Sun Simiao was frail and sickly when he was young. He exhausted his possessions to seek medical treatment, so he decided to study medicine. He tirelessly studied medical books, summarized the medical theories and clinical experience of successive generations, and after a large number of clinical diagnosis and treatment practices, he finally became a famous doctor with noble medical ethics and exquisite medical skills for one year, and Tang Taizong Li Shimin was heartbroken. For a long time, doctors did not cure it. Later, he went to Sun Simiao for medical treatment, and soon recovered. Emperor Taizong of Tang ordered Sun Simiao to be the King of Medicine.

In medical practice, Sun Simiao attaches great importance to the treatment of maternal and child diseases. He believes that the diseases of women and children are different from those of adult men. They should be treated separately and treated in different ways. Therefore, he is very good at the treatment of gynecological diseases. Once Sun Simiao suddenly heard a cry in front of him on the road, he quickly chased up, saw a group of people carrying coffins, followed by a young man and an old couple, Sun Simiao quickly went forward to inquire, the old couple cried unable to speak. The young man choked and said: The day before yesterday, my wife had a stomachache and was ready to give birth, but she still did not give birth for two days and two nights. The midwife said: Mother and son can't be saved, and the daughter-in-law died this morning, and she was in tears. Sun Simiao lowered his head, and suddenly found a drop of blood dripping from the crack in the coffin, he squatted down to take a closer look, found that the blood was still bright red, and hurriedly said loudly: Open the coffin, maybe there is still salvation.

The old two opened their eyes and wondered: It has been two hours since the man died. Sun Simiao hurriedly let people open the coffin only to see that the woman was pale and lifeless. He carefully took his pulse, sensing a subtle beating. Sun Simiao said confidently: Let me try. He took out the silver needle he was carrying and stabbed it at the acupuncture point. After a minute or two, the woman's chest began to rise and fall, her eyelids were throbbing, and her high, bulging abdomen began to squirm. Wow wow wow, a fat baby was born.

The young man and the old man were startled, and after a while they came back to their senses and thanked them. Sun Simiao rescued the mother and son. In terms of surgery, Sun Simiao pioneered catheterization, which is another of his contributions

The medicine king Sun Simiao Zhenren, everyone knows that he is a very famous medical scientist and pharmacologist in the history of our country, and has made special contributions to traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, health care, Taoist culture, etc. People have various reputations such as "Medicine King", "Medical Saint", "Medical God", "True Man" and so on. Tang Taizong once praised him for "chiseling the path and making a great doctor." Wings three saints, reconcile four hours. Descend the dragon and ambush the tiger, save the decline and save the danger. Majestic hall, the master of hundreds of generations. Emperor Huizong of Song named him "Miaoying Zhenren", Emperor Ming made him a "First Minister", and Qing Shunzhi honored him as a "Divine Doctor".

Born in the seventh year of the Western Wei Dynasty, Sun Simiao was thirsty for learning at an early age, gifted and intelligent, and could read more than a thousand at the age of seven.

According to the Old Book of Tang, the Western Wei chancellor DuGuxin called him a "holy child" and was very important to Sun Simiao.

But God loves to joke with these arrogant people. Such a holy child, but later suffered from illness, often asked a doctor for treatment, spent a lot of family wealth, so he decided to practice medicine.

At the age of twenty, Sun Simiao was able to talk about the teachings of Lao Tzu and Zhuangzi, refine the family classics, and begin to treat the diseases of his neighbors.

During the reign of Emperor Jing of Northern Zhou, Yang Jian took charge of the imperial government and summoned Sun Simiao to be The Prince of Guozi.

Yaowang inherits the story of Sun Simiao: The medicine king Sun Simiao learns good medical skills and is more importantly long-lived
Yaowang inherits the story of Sun Simiao: The medicine king Sun Simiao learns good medical skills and is more importantly long-lived

Sun Simiao had no intention of making a name for himself, believing that being a high-ranking official was too sophisticated, could not be arbitrary, resolutely refused to accept, and devoted himself to medicine.

In the first year of the Sui Kai Emperor, when there were many state affairs, Sun Simiao lived in seclusion in the Taibai Mountains, worked hard to study medical works, and carefully studied ancient medical books such as the Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, The Theory of Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases, and the Shennong Materia Medica.

Regarding Sun Simiao's age, it has actually been a topic of endless debate. According to historical records, Sun Simiao was born in the seventh year of the Western Wei Dynasty (541 AD) and died in the first year of Tang Yongchun (682), from this record alone, Sun Simiao did live for 142 years, but many people also have different views on this. After all, it is difficult for anyone around us to live for 142 years!

Although the material conditions of the society have become better now, everyone lives a seventy or eighty years old easily, but if you want to break through the hundred-year-old mark, it is actually more difficult, no way, human genes determine the life span, after fifty years old, people's bodies have been going downhill, and when they are eighty or ninety years old, even healthy people will appear old! Looking at the surroundings of our lives, there are not many old people who can live to be more than a hundred years old, and most of them will be called long-lived old people, which shows how difficult it is to live for more than a hundred years! Although the history books record that Sun Simiao was born in 541 AD and died in 682 AD, there was a long time in the middle, he was in seclusion, so for his true age, there are actually many doubts, after all, even if he said that he was born in 441 AD, everyone will believe it, because there are no witnesses!

Sun Simiao's achievements

Although Sun Simiao's age makes everyone very confused, his medical achievements are indeed very high! Sun Simiao often visited the folk and learned a lot about folk remedies, and these folk remedies, although not developed by masters, are really effective in real life, so Sun Simiao screened and screened the prescriptions and experiences collected by these folks, and finally compiled them into "Thousand Golden Recipes". Later, Sun Simiao accepted the invitation of the imperial court, cooperated with the government in medicine, and created the world's first national pharmacopoeia "Tang Xin Materia Medica", which was impressive!

Although Sun Simiao is a healer, he does not use animals to enter medicine.

He said: "Since ancient times, the famous sages have used their lives to help the crisis, although they know that the beasts are lowly and noble, as for loving life, people and animals are also one." Harming others and benefiting oneself, things and feelings are the same, and the situation is called by others! Husbands kill to survive, and go farther to live. I am here so that I do not use life as medicine, and so on. ”

He attaches great importance to medical ethics, regardless of "rich and poor, rich and poor, long and young, complaining about relatives and friends, huayi foolishness", all of which are equally treated.

It is said that "human life is the most important, and there are thousands of dollars."

This noble medical ethics has been praised by future generations of Chinese people and medical workers for more than a thousand years.

In the history of Chinese medicine, Sun Simiao zhenren and Zhang Zhongjing of the Han Dynasty and Li Shizhen of the Ming Dynasty are collectively called the "three major medical saints", Zhang Zhongjing is known for dialectical treatment, Li Shizhen is specialized in elucidating herbal pharmacology, and Sun Zhenren is famous for his expertise in traditional Chinese medicine health, which has the effect of inheriting the past and the future in the era.

It is said that Sun Simiao was born in the seventh year of the Western Wei Dynasty (541 AD), died in the first year of Tang Yongchun, with a lifespan of 141 years, and another record says that he lived for 102 years, no matter which record sun Zhenren's longevity is a fact, which is closely related to his expertise in traditional Chinese medicine health.

Sun Simiao, a native of Jingzhaohuayuan (present-day Yao County, Shaanxi), was born in about 541 AD to a peasant family engaged in weaving. Suffering from wind and cold since childhood, he was thin and weak, often sick, and spent almost all of his family's income and field property in order to seek medical treatment. Sun Simiao saw that due to his illness, he had caused such great difficulties to his parents, and his heart was sad. From his painful experience in childhood, he realized the harm of disease to people and realized that doctors can relieve the pain of patients, so he had the desire to study medicine from a very early age.

Sun Simiao was diligent and studious from an early age, reading at the age of seven, able to recite a thousand words a day, known as a "child prodigy", and at the age of twenty he was proficient in the hundred schools of the sons; at the age of eighteen, he aspired to study medicine, and at the age of twenty he treated his neighbors. Sun Simiao has a profound study of classical medicine, attaches great importance to folk testing, devotes his life to clinical research in medicine, is proficient in internal, external, gynecological, pediatric, facial features, acupuncture and moxibustion, and has twenty-four achievements that have created a precedent in the history of chinese medicine, especially the discussion of medical ethics, the advocacy of gynecology, pediatrics, acupuncture acupuncture points, etc. are unprecedented.

At that time, Emperor Wen of Sui assisted northern Zhou and recruited him to be the doctor of guozi, and Sun Zhenren resigned on the grounds of being infected with an illness. Later, Tang Taizong and Tang Gaozong both promised him high-ranking officials Houlu, but they were all rejected, he was indifferent to fame and fortune, and for more than a hundred years he only wanted to devote himself to treating the people's diseases in the people, and for many years he insisted on studying medicine and writing huge wealth, leaving an invaluable medical legacy for future generations.

Sun Simiao devoted his life to the research of Materia Medica, and once went to Mount Emei, Zhongnan Mountain, Xiajiang Prefecture, and lived in seclusion in Taibai Mountain and other places, while practicing medicine, collecting Traditional Chinese medicine, and clinical trials. Sun Simiao is the first pioneer in China after Zhang Zhongjing to comprehensively and systematically study Chinese herbal medicine, and he has written more than 800 kinds of herbs in his medical books, which have made indelible merits for the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the motherland. The study of Chinese herbal medicine is one of the important practical activities that Sun Simiao insists on throughout his life. In order to collect medicine, he climbed cliffs, crossed valleys, and ran all over the mountains and ravines of his hometown. In Hengshan, in order to collect pine resin, Yu Lixia trekked from the mountain ridge to the east "four hundred and eighty miles, and then south into the valley fifty miles", to "there are more than forty large stones, see more than thirty large pine plants in the south", and finally collected "pine resin that does not see the sun and moon", and brought it back to refine into "Hengshan pine resin paste", so that people can "withstand cold and heat, "five viscera to replenish". These vivid facts are enough to see the concentration and hardship that Sun Simiao experienced when he was collecting medicines.

Yaowang inherits the story of Sun Simiao: The medicine king Sun Simiao learns good medical skills and is more importantly long-lived

He also opened a medicinal garden in his hometown, planting medicinal herbs, from planting, fertilizing, harvesting to concocting, storage, etc., not only meticulous operation, but also detailed records. He divided the medicinal herbs into jade, stone, grass, wood, people, beasts, insects, fish, fruits, vegetables, rice, grain and other categories, and recorded more than 800 kinds of medicinal names. According to the function of the drug, he divided the drug into 65 categories, with the principle of "total taking the disease of the public" and "prescribing on the spot, which can be decided according to it". Very practical value. Until now, thousands of years later, these records of Sun Simiao still have very important reference value and guiding role.

In the third year of Emperor Gaozong's reign, Sun Simiao, based on years of experience in practicing medicine and going through ancient and modern times, compiled the "Preparation for Emergency Thousand Golden Formulas", a total of thirty-nine volumes, 323 doors, and a total of 5,300 poems on fang and treatise. Its content includes diagnosis and treatment, acupuncture, guidance, massage, etc., which is quite comprehensive. The medical view that "human life is paramount" was put forward. Specific treatments for beriberi are recorded in the book, more than a thousand years before Europeans. He put the subjects of women and children at the beginning of the volume to be valued; Sun Simiao saw the compound, and one party could cure multiple diseases or multiple ways to cure one disease.

In the second year of Tang Xianqing, Emperor Gaozong of Tang ordered Xu Jingzong and others to write the Tang New Materia Medica together with famous doctors. The following year, Sun Simiao was summoned to Chang'an to live in the old residence of princess Poyang, cooperating with the government to carry out medical activities. In the process of compiling the "Tang Xin Materia Medica", he not only revised Tao Hongjing's "Materia Medica" and "Famous Doctors's Catalogue", but also added more than a hundred kinds of herbs that he had practiced effectively. In April of the fourth year of Xianqing (659 AD), a "Tang Xin Materia Medica" was written with pictures and texts, which was the world's first national pharmacopoeia, with a total of fifty-five volumes and eight hundred and forty-four drugs.

Sun Simiao studied hard all his life, and he wrote the world-famous medical treasure book "A Thousand Golden Recipes" by the various prescriptions handed down by the Tang Dynasty and the prescriptions of his own practice, while at the same time extensively collecting various prescriptions and experiences of the people. Thirty volumes of "A Thousand Golden Formulas", extremely rich in content, divided into medical generals, women, young babies and children, the seven tricks, the winds, beriberi, typhoid fever, internal organs, carbuncle, detoxification, preparation of emergencies, food treatment, flat pulse, acupuncture, etc., a total of 232 courses, received 5,300 cases. Among them, the book also pioneered the precedent of "compound", such as Zhang Zhongjing's "Treatise on Typhoid Fever", which is a sick side, while Sun Simiao developed into a multi-faceted disease in "A Thousand Golden Formulas", and also flexibly adapted Zhang Zhongjing's "Jing Fang". He sometimes synthesized two or three jingfang into a "compound" to increase the therapeutic effect; sometimes a jingfang was divided into several unilateral parties to treat a certain disease separately. This is his great achievement in medicine and a major innovation in the history of medicine.

30 years after the publication of the "Thousand Golden Fangs for Emergency", Sun Simiao completed the 30-volume trot of the "Thousand Golden Wings Fang" in the first year of Tang Kaiyao (681 AD). "A Thousand Golden Wings Fang" is a monograph by Sun Simiao to take the meaning of "helping each other and flying with wings", supplementing the deficiencies of "Wanting Fang", and together with "Wanting Fang", "learning together into a family", which is the crystallization of his life's wisdom and the summary of his achievements. The whole book is mainly based on prescriptions, containing more than 2,900 prescriptions that can cure more than 60 kinds of diseases in the categories of soup, powder, pills, dan, etc., and 872 kinds of medicines classified according to jade, grass, wood, animals, etc., which are extremely valuable. The book consists of thirty volumes, in which he examines and practices more than 810 kinds of medicines that are not recorded in the Materia Medica before the Tang Dynasty, and supplements many prescriptions and treatment methods. It is said that the last few volumes of the "Thousand Golden Wings Fang" were dictated by him and written by his grandson Sun Pu and finally completed.

The two books of "Thousand Golden Wings Square" and "Thousand Golden Fangs" are collectively known as "Thousand Golden Fangs". "A Thousand Golden Fangs" is the most comprehensive and valuable systematic summary of the medical achievements before the Tang Dynasty, and it is the earliest existing medical book in China. "Famous Doctors of Past Dynasties" said: "Tang Sun Zhenren, the prescription medicine is exquisite, helping the poor and the weak, and the effect is like a god." In the Song Dynasty, Guo Si spoke highly of the Qianjin Fang, saying: "The world knows that this book is the treasure of the medical scriptures." Xu Dachun, a medical scientist in the Qing Dynasty, said: "The strange intention and the magic of medicine are also a family of their own."

Sun Zhenren wrote about 80 works in his lifetime, in addition to the most famous "Qianjin Zhifang" and "Qianjin Yifang", there are also "Notes on Lao Tzu", "Notes on Zhuangzi", "Sushu in the Pillow", "TheOry of the Three Teachings of the Hui", "True Records of Regents" and so on. Among them, "Qianjin Fang" has 30 volumes, containing more than 5,000 parties, involving internal, external, gynecological and pediatric disciplines, more than 2,900 pieces of combined formula, more than 800 kinds of drugs, and nearly 3,000 prescriptions of "Qianjin Yifang", involving Materia Medica, women, typhoid fever, children, nourishment, tonic, stroke, miscellaneous diseases, sores, color pulses and acupuncture, etc., which have made necessary and beneficial supplements to "Qianjin Fang". The book collects the achievements of a large number of physicians from Zhang Zhongjing in the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty for more than hundreds of years, so that the historical context of Traditional Chinese medicine can be connected in one line, so that later people called "Qianjin Fang" the ancestor of the Fang Shu.

More than 20 initiatives:

The first encyclopedia of clinical medicine, "A Thousand Golden Fangs";

The first to advocate the establishment of gynecology and pediatrics;

The first leprosy specialist; the first to propose a compound cure;

The first to propose feeding cattle with herbs to cure diseases with their milk;

The first system comprehensively and specifically deals with the people who grow, collect, and collect herbs;

The first to breed wild medicine and succeed;

The first to put forward the idea of "prevention over cure", and so on.

What is even more valuable is that in the long-term medical practice, Sun Zhenren combined medicine and benevolence to make a complete exposition of medical ethics for the first time in the history of medicine in China, and still has extraordinary reference and guiding significance today.

Sun Simiao talks about health

Sun Simiao's health concept and modern health concept are the same way, after all, if you trace back to the yuan, the modern health concept is the result of the summary and extension of generations of Chinese medicine such as Sun Simiao. The health concept summarized by Sun Simiao can be summarized into four points, exercise, mentality, diet, and work and rest.

"The way to maintain health, often want to work hard, but it is very tired, and the strong can not be heard." The implication is that a major key to health care lies in exercise, but to grasp within a certain range, we must not exceed our own tolerance limits, otherwise it will do more harm than good.

Looking at the large amount of exercise, there is no better professional athlete who works in sports, but it is well known that athletes are generally injured after retirement, which is the inevitable consequence of unrestrained exercise, and to a certain extent, it is at the cost of overdraft physical health.

Of course, if the amount of exercise is too small, it is naturally useless, so this category needs to be stabilized within different frameworks that vary from person to person, and at least moderate activity. Not only the amount of exercise, but also the frequency of exercise Sun Simiao also has insights.

"Labor makes people young and long-lived, and to live a long life, you must work often but not be too tired." In this statement, it reveals another important ingredient about exercise health, persistence. Nothing can be done in three days of fishing and two days of drying nets, crazy exercise on a whim, and lazy to move on weekdays. In the meantime, the reason is like overeating, which does more harm than good.

"There are few words in the mouth, less things in the heart, less food in the stomach, less natural sleep, and so on, so there are four less, and the gods and immortals can be." Taciturn, peace of mind, oligositivity, and less sleep, among which it is the other three-fold concept of Sun Simiao, mentality, diet, and schedule echo each other.

The diet includes familiar words such as light taste and not too much to eat. And in terms of work and rest, especially sleep, it is natural to need regularity, for which Sun Simiao proposed, "Get up early, you qianjin magic recipe, longevity Jin Danye." "It is also necessary to be regular, including diet and exercise.

Then in terms of thinking, it is not only the lack of anger that most people understand in ordinary days, but also includes many aspects to maintain a peaceful state of mind. This is the most illusory place, but it is also crucial. This is the biggest reason why Sun Simiao can live a long life.

From the fact that he rejected the high-ranking official Houlu several times and viewed the dual identities of merit, fame, and fortune with a normal heart, as well as the dual identity of a Taoist priest, he was destined to be able to make great achievements in the path of cultivating his mind.

As for the obstacles to mental health, Sun Simiao has subdivided into five points in the original general concept, fame and fortune, mood and anger, voice, taste, and divine worry. If you want to achieve the purpose of health maintenance and establish a good attitude, the first thing is to eliminate these drawbacks one by one. However, the seven passions and six desires are the common sentiments of human beings, and very few can completely abandon them.

The medicine king Sun Simiao can live to be more than a hundred years old, and there are definitely many health secrets worth learning.

Sun Simiao believes that people want to live a long life, in addition to innate endowments, followed by nurturing. But the former is uncontrollable, while the latter is the key to health. In his book, he recommends the following four small things to many people. If you can insist on doing it, then you will be a "candidate" for longevity.

Now, let's take a look.

1. Brush your hair every day

Some people may think that this matter is too simple, and it is not normal to brush your hair every day? But don't think too simple, Sun Simiao's recommended comb is not a few hair combs in a hurry after you get up every morning, and there are many requirements.

The specific method is: rub your hands together 36 times, after the palms of your hands are warm, then press the palms of your hands to your head, starting from the forehead and sweeping up, all the way to the back of the head. Repeat this 10 times, sooner or later you have to insist on doing it.

Sun Simiao believes that there are many acupuncture points on the top of people's heads, and by rubbing their palms together to comb their hair, these acupuncture points can be effectively stimulated, thus helping to prevent abnormal manifestations such as gray hair, hair loss, headache, tinnitus, etc., and play a role in prolonging life.

2. Insist on tapping teeth every day

The so-called percussion, from the literal point of view, is very clear its meaning, that is, refers to the upper and lower teeth knocking each other. This is also the health care method recommended by the medicine king Sun Simiao to everyone, which is not limited by time and space.

The method is also relatively simple: the mouth is gently closed, and the upper and lower teeth are gently tapped together, but the sound needs to be made. You can tap your teeth multiple times a day, and you should insist on 36 times each time.

Sun Simiao believes that people often percuse their teeth, which can pass through the upper and lower jaw meridians, which helps to improve gastrointestinal function and maintain good health.

3. Insist on rubbing your feet every day

Presumably, many people know that there are many acupuncture points in people's feet.

Sun Simiao, the medicine king, believes that these acupuncture points in the feet, if they are often effectively stimulated, can add points to longevity.

It is best to insist on rubbing your feet every night after washing your feet before going to bed, rubbing from the heel to the toes, and rubbing 36 times repeatedly, which has great benefits for the body and can help you delay aging and live a long and healthy life.

4. Insist on rubbing the abdomen every day

There are various important organs in the abdomen of man, which are the key to the activities of human life.

Sun Simiao believes that insisting on rubbing the abdomen every day can help alleviate and eliminate abdominal swelling, prevent the occurrence of diseases, and contribute to health and longevity.

The specific method is very simple, first rub your hands together, or rub 36 times, after the palm is warm, the palm will be attached to the navel, knead in a clockwise direction, moderate force, should not be too heavy or too light, rub 36 circles on it, you will feel slightly warm in the abdomen, very comfortable.

There are many legends about Sun Zhenren's miraculous hand to save people, here is a related to the royal family - the hanging silk diagnosis pulse:

During the Tang Zhenguan years, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin's eldest grandson empress dowager was pregnant for more than ten months but had not given birth for a long time, the empress sighed in pain, the doctors were helpless, and Li Shimin was even more anxious, everyone knew that if it was delayed any longer, not only would the empress eldest grandson die, but the fetus in her womb would also be doomed. At this time, the chancellor Xu Maogong suddenly remembered the divine doctor Sun Simiao, and quickly recommended it to Tang Taizong, and Li Shimin sent the minister Xingye to rush to please.

After Sun Simiao arrived, he first asked about the general condition, and then took out a red rope from his arms, after all, there was a difference between men and women, especially in the imperial palace of that era, the etiquette was strict, and the queen's skin was easy to touch. But Chinese medicine must have a pulse, without which you cannot understand the real disease. Sun Zhenren asked the palace maid to tie one end of the red rope to the wrist of the eldest grandson empress, sit behind the screen and hold the other end, and perceive the pulse with the slight fluctuations of the line, which was called the line pulse at that time.

About a quarter of an hour later, Sun Zhenren stood up and said to Emperor Taizong: "The disease has been clearly diagnosed, and the empress is a child who has a heart, making it difficult to produce, and it only takes a needle to ensure the safety of the mother and child." It turned out that the ancients believed that the so-called difficult childbirth was caused by the fetus in the abdomen grasping the mother with its hand, so it was called "pediatric wrench". At this time, there was a palace maid who led the eldest grandson Out of the curtain, and Sun Zhenren pulled out a silver needle and stabbed it violently, and the queen screamed and trembled unceasingly. When Emperor Taizong and the chancellor were wondering, suddenly a palace maid shouted: Niangniang has given birth, and she is a prince. Suddenly, cheers rang out inside and outside the court.

However, afterwards, some people pointed out that the so-called "thread vein" was purely fictitious, and it was completely Sun Simiao who was cajoling the emperor, which was the crime of killing the head! So Sun Zhenren had to try again. This time, someone secretly tied the red rope to the leg of the bed, and the unsuspecting Sun Zhenren grabbed the other end outside, and it took a long time before he said: There are worms in the body. Everyone laughed: it's wood! Sun Zhenren was very calm: Split it. Splitting open, there was indeed a fat white worm squirming. The crowd was horrified, and they cried out to the gods. --Of course, this is only a legend, and there is no historical data to support it.

Born in the countryside of Shaanxi, Sun Simiao deeply understands that it is not easy for the people to see a doctor, so one of the characteristics of his treatment is that the medicinal materials are economical and easy to find, so that the people can afford to find, such as using radish to treat asthma, using animal liver to treat night blindness, using rice bran, bran, almonds, milk, jujube and other prevention and treatment of beriberi, have achieved good results.

Sun Simiao real people know that the general culture of the people is not high, so he uses simple and easy to understand language to tell them the principle of curing diseases and maintaining health, like the current folk circulation of "a hundred steps after a meal, live to ninety-nine", "autumn turnips harvested, winter Langzhong idle hands", etc., it is said that the earliest are from Sun Zhenren's health experience.

In the Longxi Circle, there is also a story of "Tiger Guarding the Apricot Forest" for a long time.

It is said that one evening, Sun Simiao returned from outside the apricot forest, just lit the oil lamp, ready to sort out the patient's medical case, when he suddenly heard the soft groan of the beast outside the door. He opened the door and looked, and there were two tigers lying on their stomachs not far away. Through the faint light, I could faintly see tears in the eyes of the big tiger, and cast a kind and pleasent look at him; the little tiger boy also wagged his tail sympathetically, bowed his head close to Sun Simiao's feet, and waited still. Sun Simiao knew that beasts were also human. After his examination, he concluded that the tigress had injured the rich woman, and that the gold noodles were stuck in the throat, and the swelling and pain were too swollen to breathe. Sun Simiao was not afraid, pulled open the tiger's mouth, pulled out the golden noodle, and applied medicine to relieve the tiger's pain. From then on, in order to repay Sun Simiao's grace for curing the disease, no matter whether it was windy and rainy, or the heat was difficult to endure, the Erhu always stayed in the apricot forest, no longer hurting people, but also did not let the living people fold and pick randomly, did not let other animals waste flowers and fruits, and was specially used for Sun Simiao's masters and apprentices and patients to enjoy and eat.

Later, in the first year of Emperor Gaozong of Tang (661), when Sun Simiao's disciples left Longxi, erhu followed closely behind, accompanied by daytime and night, and the thieves and beasts avoided him. When the big tiger dies, the little tiger still follows... Until the end of Sun Simiao's 101st birthday, he still adhered to the "apricot forest".

The story of the medicine king Sun Simiao saving the dragon

  More than a month passed, and Sun Simiao went out again and met a young man dressed in white, with many retinues and horses. The young man dismounted, greeted Sun Simiao, and said, "The younger brother is saved by the Dao, and his parents want to see you." "Sun Simiao saved many people, and he didn't remember it in his heart, and he didn't take it seriously when he heard this." The young man pleaded again to thank him for the invitation, and Si Miao had to get on the horse he had prepared and ride alongside him. The horse flew like a fly,—and then arrived at the manor. There are flowers and trees permeated with spring colors, the scenery is peaceful and bright, the doorway is as new as new, very grand, and the characters are both exchanged and imposing, and it looks like the prince's mansion.

  The young man invited Si Miao inside, and saw a dignified and handsome man, wearing a white hat and a dark robe, followed by many attendants. Seeing Si Miao, he happily came up to greet him, and thanked him in his mouth: "I miss the Dao Chief very much, so I sent a child to greet him." Not long ago, Xiao'er accidentally went out and was suddenly hurt by a fool, all relying on you to strip your clothes to redeem and save your life. There are many of our clans here, and they are all grateful for the grace of Mr. Regeneration. It's a great honor to meet the Governor today!" After a while, please enter the inner hall. Inside, it seemed to be the inner house of the palace, and I saw a middle-aged woman, leading a child dressed in green clothes out, and repeatedly thanked him and said, "This child is dumbfounded, he was injured, and he was saved from death by the chief of the war." Si Miao then remembered that he had once saved a small green snake, and couldn't help but question: What is this place? Seeing that the eunuchs and maids who served around them were also "kings" and called middle-aged women "concubines", they were very surprised in their hearts, so they quietly asked the people around them, "What is this place?" He replied, "This is the Jingyang Water House." It turned out that the "king" was the Dragon King of Jingyang. The Dragon King invited the guests and subordinates, lined up the banquet, played music, and feasted on Sun Simiao. Si Miao resigned, saying that he was in a good mood and could only drink a few glasses of wine.

  After wandering around the Water Mansion for three days, the Dragon King asked Sun Simiao what thank you he wanted, and Sun Simiao replied, "I live in the mountains and wilderness, and I only like to cultivate the Tao, meditate on immortals and exercise the gods, and although I see all kinds of things in my eyes, I don't have any desire in my heart." The Dragon King gave him the beautiful silk and precious beads and gold, and Si Miao resolutely refused to accept it, and the Dragon King said, "The Dao Commander does not take them seriously, but how can he repay you?" So he ordered his son to take the thirty prescriptions hidden in the Dragon Palace and give them to Si Miao, saying, "You are a true man of the Tao, and holding them can save the world." So he prepared his servant horses and sent Si Miao back to the mountain where he lived.

  Si Miao was very surprised by what he had encountered, and tried to use the thirty medical prescriptions to cure the disease, and the effect was very wonderful. Later, he compiled thirty volumes of the Qianjin Fang and compiled the Fang of the Dragon Palace into the book.

  "A Thousand Golden Fangs" is a famous book of doctors throughout the ages, and the benefits to the world are innumerable. Sun Simiao's cultivation was successful, his medical skills were exquisite, and he saved countless people, so he was revered by the people as the king of medicine.
