Shehong City, with a population of less than one million, is located in central Sichuan and is known as the "hometown of Ziang".

The Chen Zi'ang family did not live in the hereditary Shooting Hong, and Lu Zang mentioned the Chen family's native Yingchuan in the "Biography of the Chen Clan" written for his friend. Yingchuan (present-day Yuzhou, Xuchang, Henan) The Chen family started as a great scholar in the late Han Dynasty, and was a giant family in the Wei and Jin dynasties, passed down from generation to generation, with more than ten generations of nobles and grandchildren, and the family status has not fallen for 300 years, which can be said to be one of the most distant family families during the Han, Wei and Jin dynasties.

Famous figures include Han Taiqiu Chang Chen Yin, Han Dahong Xun Chen Ji, Wei Sikong Chen Qun, Wei Shangshu Zuo Servant Chen Tai, and Jin Imperial Lieutenant Chen Zhun. In comparison, the so-called Wang Xie family can only be regarded as a rising star. During the Wuhu Rebellion, the main branch of the Chen clan moved south, and Chen Baxian, the founding emperor of the Southern Dynasty Chen, claimed to be the chief of the Han Taiqiu after Chen Yin.

In 693 AD, Chen Zi'ang wrote an inscription for his uncle Chen Si, "Chen Junbei, the former residence of Wudongshan in Shehong County, Zizhou", which recorded his family's migration to Sichuan: "Jun Zhan Hei, Zi Honghei, his ancestor Chen Guoren." At the end of the Han Dynasty, the eight generations of ancestors became Shangshu Ling. Afterwards, Shu was destroyed by Jin, and his descendants avoided Jin and lived in Wudongshan, southern Fulan. "Chen Zhi, the eighth generation ancestor of Chen Ziang's uncle Chen Si, that is, the tenth generation ancestor of Chen Ziang, is the ancestor of Chen Ziang's family into Shu. Chen Ziang's statement that Chen Yi "came from Runan Shishu", which is confirmed by Lu Zang's use of the saying "originally living in Yingchuan" in other biographies, and it can be seen that their family really belongs to the branch of the Yingchuan Chen clan.

In 699 AD, Chen Zi'ang wrote an epitaph for his father, "Fujun You Zhou Wenlin Lang Chen Cemetery Epitaph", which further recorded the evolution of the family: "Gong Yuan Jing, Zi Mou, his ancestor Chen Guoren also. The fifth ancestor Taile, Liang Datong Zhong was Sima of Xincheng County, and was born Gaozu Fangqing. Fang Qinghaodao, obtained the "Secretary of the Five Elements of Mozi" and "The Seven Changes of the White Tiger", and then hid in the county Wudongshan. ”

That is to say, his fifth ancestor still lived in Xincheng County, holding the official position of chief bookkeeper, and by the time of the fourth ancestor Chen Fangqing, because he had obtained the secret book of the Mo family, he returned to the former residence of Yinwu Dongshan in order to facilitate cultivation.

"Secretary of the Five Elements of Mozi" should be the "Five Elements", or "The Five Elements in the Pillow of Mozi". It is said that this is a book of Fangshu written by Mozi in his later years, describing the art of change. The original text consisted of five volumes, all of which have now been lost. Chen Ziang's ancestor, Chen Fangqing, coincidentally obtained the secretary of "Mozi", so he lived in seclusion in Wudongshan in order to cultivate the secret art of immortality.

As for whether Chen Fangqing has learned these immortal spells, there is a high probability that there is none, but there is no objection to the Chen family believing in the Mojia doctrine for generations.

As everyone knows, during the Warring States period, Mozi was the most "unprofessional" alternative sect at that time. They not only studied Qi Men Dun Jia and Exquisite Workmanship, but also studied the Five Elements and the Way of Ghosts and Gods. And the Mo family disciples "Mo people" are a very personal group during the Warring States period, they practice chivalry and righteousness, eliminate violence and safety, very similar to the swordsmen of the descendants.

Chen Ziang is also essentially an out-and-out "inker".

When he was young, he had the poem "I love Oniyako", standing clearly in the Mo Dao; In addition, he lived in seclusion in the mountains and forests several times in his life, and he continued to seek the heart of immortal hope until his death; The most interesting thing is that the Chen family has the ancestral legacy of chivalry and righteousness.

Chen Ziang's father, Chen Yuanjing, was "magnificent, twenty years old, known for his heroes." The villagers resisted hunger, and once scattered the corn of ten thousand bells without asking for reward, so they returned from far and near, and if the turtle fish went to the abyss. That is to say, Chen Yuanjing is a bold person, famous from far and near, and there are countless people who come to belong. Sounds a bit like the Shanghai Blue and Red Gang in the thirties, right?

Of course, although the Chen family is "a wealthy family", it is still quite homely, and his father Chen Yuanjing is a scholar of the "Ming Jing" and teaches Wenlin Lang.

It's just that the family is too rich and has no interest in being an official, and he has received a false title to engage in "Immortal Dao Invention" at home. But his father was not really "indifferent to the world", and Zi Ang wrote an epitaph for him saying that he was "a troubled person, and he cultivated the wind of the submarine, and the people of the state were tamed, like the phoenix of all birds." From time to time, there are lawsuits, not to take the orders of the state and county, but to believe in the word. The four sides are heroic, looking at the scenery, and the imperial court is famous."

In other words, his father is already equivalent to the "parent official of the state" in Shehong County.

This is not Chen Ziang's boasting, the heroic atmosphere in society in the early Tang Dynasty was indeed quite prevalent, especially in Sichuan and the southwestern border areas, and even thousands of doormen, hundreds of miles of influence of powerful families, these civil forces not only became a small court in disguise, but even threatened the rule of the imperial court to a certain extent. Although the Chen Ziang family has not yet reached this point, under the cultivation of several generations of heroic names, the influence of the family in the local area is indispensable.

Chen Ziang's father is still very interesting, he usually studies and studies celestial phenomena, refining elixirs, and then acts as an "old lady uncle" for his neighbors, and forty years have passed unconsciously. One day, Father Chen called his son to him and analyzed the general trend of the world in a serious manner. He said that he had observed the great luck over the years and found that although the world has its own way, the sages can revive the great luck and restore the heavenly way.

He also said, "As for the present four hundred years, will Providence regain the week?" Yu play! My old man, Ru Qizhi. "What do you mean? That is to say, the world from rise to decline is basically a cycle of four hundred years, pinching your fingers, from the beginning of the five chaotic hua to now is almost four hundred years, he predicts that the world is about to usher in a new round of prosperity, but unfortunately I am old, this great task of helping the world will be handed over to you.

Interesting daddy.

Chen Ziang took over his father's great ambition. As a rich second generation with mines and customers at home, he lived a dashing life since he was a child, "starting with a wealthy family, galloping chivalry, and unknown books until the seventeenth or eighth year old." After such a little dial from the old father, he was able to "make up his mind, because he refused to be a doorman, and specialized in the ceremony", and then "learned to get involved in hundreds of families in a few years", which is comparable to the classic bridge of "The Prodigal Son Turns Back" in the TV series.

Sometimes I really admire the ancients, who were always able to carry righteousness on their shoulders easily and naturally.

In the following twenty years, Chen Ziang never forgot his father's instructions and always took the world as his responsibility. Even if he is a late-ranking petty official such as Lintai orthography and right gleaning, he has repeatedly written to express his political opinions. Behind the "Book of Counseling Spirits into Beijing," "The Book of Seeking Life and Qiang in Yazhou," "The Interests of the Shangjun State," and "The Book of Counseling and Using Punishments," all of them are his full political enthusiasm and patriotic spirit of worrying about the country and the people.

He spent half his life practicing his father's grand aspirations, but when he returned, he was full of ropes. As early as 692, he returned to Shu for his stepmother, and when he was ill in his home, he had the decadent saying that "the vertical and horizontal strategy has been abandoned, and the lonely road is home" ("Lying Sick Home"). He must not have known at that time that what really desperately was not that the world was not what he imagined, but that the world was what it was.

Live in seclusion and watch the luck of the sky, and leisurely think of the masses.

In the end, the ancient times prospered, and Hao Sheng could not fight.

Three seasons fell to Zhou Zhao, and seven heroes destroyed Qin Huan.

Fu smelled the red sperm and carried the sword into Xianjing.

The flame light has no image, and the Jin Dynasty is restored.

Yao Yu Dao is already ignorant, and the situation is faint.

There is no such thing as Shixiong, Heavenly Dao and Hu Bing.

Aggressive, drunk and not awake.

Zhongni drowned in Donglu, and Boyang escaped to the west.

The great luck has been since ancient times, and travelers sigh.

After his third retreat, he wrote a poem "Feelings" (seventeen) in response to his father's request. He said that luck is long, and there are laws in which even sages such as Zhongni and Boyang cannot do anything. Qing Xingfang commented in the first volume of his book "Tang Fengding" that this poem was "broad and wide-ranging, and the words are like a cone drawing sand".

In fact, Father Chen is not wrong, the prosperous era has actually come. It's just that this prosperous age never stays for anyone, nor does it change for anyone.

That young man who was "determined", twenty years after the heart of a child, fate rewarded him with only the sorrows of his liver and brain, and the endless sadness after the blood was cold.

"After half a life, he is still a teenager when he returns", it's really just talk.
