The spider forms a giant spider web up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) long along the coastline of the Greek town of Aitoliko.
Due to the unusually large number of four-jawed spiders contributing to this organic structure, spider webs have covered trees, plants and rocks.
Warm weather and a large number of mosquitoes are thought to be responsible for the spike in spider populations, so spiders flock to the island to mate.
Although the phenomenon is very rare, experts say there's nothing to worry about, as spiders die quickly and spider webs disappear naturally.

As the spiders built a makeshift shelter to mate, this 1,000-foot-long green space is sprawling with spider webs.
Maria Chatzaki, a professor of molecular biology and genetics at democritus University of Thrace in Greece, said the combination of factors created the perfect conditions for spiders to flourish.
"High temperatures, abundant humidity and food create ideal conditions for the species to multiply in large numbers," Professor Chatzaki told the news site.
"It's like spiders are taking advantage of these conditions to hold a party."
"They mate, multiply, and produce a whole new generation."
"These spiders are harmless to humans and do not cause any harm to the flora of the area."
The spiders are about to throw their own 'party' and will soon be dead. ”

Residents of the town revealed that in the days leading up to the completion of the cobwebs, swarms of mosquitoes had been seen hitting the town.
Presumably, these mosquitoes provided a rich food source for the spider's masterpiece.
Xiao Qiao is a genus of spiders, there are thousands of species of spiders, because of their long body shape, commonly known as "stretch spiders".
These spiders are common around the world, and they often weave webs near bodies of water.
