Isladelas Muñecas hides along the canal in Xochimilco, Mexico. Translated into Chinese is "Doll Island", which lives up to its name.
Ghost dolls hang from trees or tied to the fences of haunted Mexican waterways.
They've been around for decades, and the stories behind them are as scary as their headless bodies and invisible heads.
The story begins when the body of a young girl washes up on the riverbank and the island's caretaker finds a floating doll nearby that he believes is her.
Don Julian Santana Barrera became restless and hung up more dolls that he believed were possessed by the soul of the dead girl.
He did this for 50 years before encountering his own tragic end.
In 2001, his body was found floating in a very random place where he had found a girl years earlier.
Photographer Sebastian Perez Lira recently explored this eerie place on a two-hour boat tour from his home in Mexico.
He said: "The island is very popular with tourists because of its mystery and environment. The atmosphere on the island is calm and quiet. After a while, the atmosphere becomes tense because surrounded by so many dolls, you feel like someone is staring at you. "The feeling of standing in the middle of these dolls is indescribable, and as you approach each doll, tension strikes.
"Another place that terrifies tourists is the Hoia-Baciu forest in Romania.
Known for numerous UFO and ghost sightings, this vast green space has been home to many missing people. There is a story about a 5-year-old girl who disappeared into the woods and reappeared 5 years later, wearing the same clothes and not remembering what happened to her.
In the forest, the physical condition of the person will be completely destroyed, and in the forest, there is a mysterious and perfect round earth, and there is no grass. Soil samples also fail to explain why there is no life on Earth.
