Thailand Samui tourism "Samui +" sandbox plan detailed explanation

What is Thailand's "Samui+" sandbox program

From 1 October 2021, those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can apply for the "Sandbox" program to travel to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, and after 7 days in the above three destinations, they can travel to other parts of Thailand.

The reason why it is called the Koh Samui + Program is because not only Koh Samui, but also two nearby islands have also opened up, they are: the diver's favorite Koh Tao, and Phangan Island, which is already famous for its full moon party, where young people can frantically wield hormones and are famous for their full moon parties!

Samui + Sandbox Program entry into Koh Samui tourism process reference

1) 0-1 day

Arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Day 0, visitors need to download The Samui Health Pass and the Mor Chana app

The first nucleic acid test is carried out at Samui Airport or at a location limited by the Samui Command Centre

Upon arrival at Samui Airport visitors can only stay at SHA+ Hotels

Tourists can only take the means of transport provided by companies certified by the Samui+ mark from the airport to the hotel

Visitors must wait in the hotel room for the results of the first nucleic acid test

2) 1-5 days

If the first nucleic acid test is negative, visitors can visit Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao

Visitors can only travel to and from the islands via the following piers:

Note:

1 The Sandbox Program is only an entry permit, and applying for the Sandbox Program does not exempt the Thai endorsement application. Be careful.
